President Obama helped bring us out of “The Great Recession” (I do not care for calling it that), managed to bring about health care reform (like it or dislike it) and ended two wars on his watch as well as got re elected. Like them or not these are pretty big achievements and they are his. I understand he isn’t our guy and isn’t doing things we totally agree with and I will add that there is still another four years and then the perspective of history as well, but I would say that right now he ranks somewhere in the top middle. The best of the caretaker Presidents and towards the bottom of the good to great ones. Again, so far.
Reviewing the other comments I can guess how unwelcome this opinion might be, but I neither hate nor fear this administration or the government in general. Things are not right in this country and I am willing to try “their” solutions and if they do not work that is more cause to try “our” solutions. This nation is big and strong and can outlast the worst or times and the most bungling of chief executives and congresses. Quote me on this, The USA isn’t going the way of Rome anytime soon. Not if I have anything to say bout it.

God has put people like you and me here to stand for Him! A true prophet I know said he felt he needed to pray for me one day at church and when he began he started praying what you would consider a normal prayer for my health and prosperity and Gods blessings but in the middle of it his tone changed and started saying God was going to make me a mighty man of valor and a commander in His army and I would be a strong and courageous warrior for God and so on and when he had finished he looked at me kinda funny and said that it must’ve been God speaking through him because that wasn’t what he was going to pray at all! When he started praying that way I started getting what I call Holy Ghost rushes coursing through my entire body and when he had finished my knees were shaky! Something really big is about to happen and I’m not sure what but whatever it is I’m as ready as I can be. I do not fear death and believe that after all I lived through when I was in the world that should’ve killed me that I will not die until God says it’s time! If I were to taste death before He comes for His own my troubles would be over! We must keep total faith and trust in our Lord during this time period and have no doubt that He is with us! God is letting this Obamanation have his way for the time being to set the stage for last days prophecy to be fulfilled but his day of reckoning is fast approaching! Gods people must stand strong, bravely and courageous! We combat evil in the spiritual realm with prayer and the Two Edged Sword of the Word of God! In the natural realm we fight it with superior firepower! We must not compromise with evil no matter what form it takes! When I’m busy I don’t get on this thing daily so sometimes it might be awhile before I respond to something on here. I work 200 feet from my house and everyday I walk to my shop I look at the eastern sky and say Lord if this is the day I’m ready as I’ll ever be but Your will be done! Minister for God wherever and whenever you can! God will bless you exceedingly for it! When we stand for God whether on the net or in our daily lives we can expect to be attacked but I fear not what man can do to me! I had no fear when I was a heathen so why should I have any now? I too have problems with my body because of my lack of good health practices when I was in the world but God gives me the strength to bring my body into subjection every day! I used to believe that I was a bad a&%ed biker dude but God showed me that I’m not what satan says I am but what God says I am! At 55 the results of drunken car and motorcycle crashes and not to mention all the fights and drug abuse consequences come back to haunt me daily! Been stabbed twice and shot at but by Gods grace not hit though it passed by my ear close enough that I couldn’t hear out of it for a few hours. After all that I’m convinced God has had His hand on me my whole life and He preserved me for a reason. I function reasonably well to have been one of satans best footsoldiers at one time! I still don’t take as good of care of it as I should but I believe I’ll have a new one soon! The apostle unto the gentiles Paul said that the trials and tribulations we go through in this life aren’t worthy to be compared to the glories that lie ahead! I knew God early….Lord said my son would preach where he had been…He was in country jail at the time..It takes all kinds of us.I have had many close calls. many dangerous escapes..Lots of very interesting spiritual experiences…There is nothing like it. If hearing jail bars slam shut behind you doesn’t make a chill run down your spine something is very wrong! Every time it happened to me I felt like what a caged animal must feel like. By Gods grace I was never convicted of a felony and so I can still legally own guns. He did let me sit in jail long enough a couple times for me to figure out what the real problem was! If our Lord said your son would preach at where he had been it will happen in Gods timing not ours! What is your sons condition now? I will pray Gods Word and Will for him be fulfilled! My son was killed on his motorcycle three weeks after his 19th birthday and the day before my 45th birthday. Spent my birthday in a funeral home arranging to bury him. Wasn’t just my kid but my best friend also. We rode our bikes together all over the mountains around here. I never imagined a human could hurt that bad. For the next three months I literally had to labor to draw my next breath. Felt as if an anaconda was wrapped around my chest squeezing the life out of me. Would rather be beaten to within an inch of death as to go through that again! I can deal with it though because 9 months before, God worked some circumstances in his life to where I had the priveledge and honor to lead him before God and watched him be born again before my eyes! When that kid got his face out of the carpet he was different! Every time I got in trouble it was alcohol related. Alcohol if given enough time will make you insane if you survive it that long! Alcoholics anonymous didn’t work for me. In fact I felt more like drinking when I left a meeting than I did before I went in! The A.A. people call themselves recovering alcoholics but I tell them they are talking to a delivered alcoholic! God Himself delivered me of my addiction sitting at a stop sign in the country nearly twenty years ago. He asked me a question in a very audible voice that changed my life at that very instant! Scared the living daylights out of me too! Know it was Him because I had tried several times to stop myself and failed miserably everytime! I guess from the outside my life may look interesting but to have lived it was pretty miserable! Self inflicted mostly! After my mind and body had recovered our Lord showed me I hadn’t been completely sober in more than twenty years. I had forgotten what sobriety even felt like. You say you are lot older than me but I have discovered that age is mostly a state of mind! I can tell your spirit and soul are beautiful without ever meeting you! There is a lot more to beauty than just a fine looking body! I must be still fairly attractive because I get flirted with a lot sometimes by women younger than my 33 year old daughter much to my wifes chagrin. Usually people miss my age when they try to guess it by 10 to 15 years. Most tell me I look no older than forty at the most. Certainly isn’t anything I did to cause it! Most people I know who abused themselves like I did look much older than they really are. Be patient and wait on God because He is going to give us a glorified body and mind soon that will be more beautiful than anything we could ever hope to have in this life! His Word says there will be no sex in our eternal life. Must really be something special because I think sex is one of the most beautiful gifts God ever gave us if practiced within His boundaries! In fact I believe I will really miss it! You are right in that it takes all of us, be a pretty boring place if we all were alike! We all have different gifts, we just have to discover them. No two plans of salvation are exactly alike. You speak of interesting spiritual experiences and there is nothing like them! When I was born again sitting at that stop sign it was and is the most incredible thing that has ever happened to me! It was traumatic but in a really good way! When I finally quit bawling even the trees somehow looked different to me! I live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in what I consider Gods country and rode my motorcycle up on to the parkway to an overlook I know of the next day and sat with my feet hanging over the edge and the view was so beautiful I just started crying again. Before this even when I was a kid I never ever cried! My family believed in corporal punishment and they could beat me half to death and I would just grit my teeth and take it! Wouldn’t give them the satisfaction of seeing a tear roll out of my eyes. Nowadays I can hear a song about my precious Jesus and the tears will start rolling. He finally broke that old hard shell I built around my heart! Can be kinda embarassing sometimes though! And there is nothing wrong with goody two shoes as long as it isn’t a self righteous and hypocritical type. My life would have been a lot less destructive if I had been more so. Wasn’t meant to be I guess! I’ve been told I have a really powerful testimony and I guess that’s why I had to go through it. Keep the faith my sister in Christ and remind that devil he is liar when he comes against you and tell him you know his end! We WILL meet one day I’m sure over there if not over here! My son is adopted…He has many words over the years about a large ministry as in world wide and also being a prophet and a preacher. My instructions were to have him study Revalation and the last days. I went forward at church for prayer for the mother’s of ADHD kids..He is so very very ADHD..There was a huge crowd at the alter. I was the only one pastor gave a word to. He said my son’s ADHD was for the Glory of God. I believe it..It sure won’t be my son who will be his preacher…He is on disability and is not doing anything. He has disintegrating discs…I still believe but I am the only one who does…God told me before he was born that he was his child and could only live in my home 15 years. He could not be mine because he was His…He left home at 16. As soon as he turned 16 a prophet came into the church and gave him a very long word about his preachers garment and his calling..Then over the years more and more people said the same and similar things. I am so very sorry about the death of your son. That is just such a tough thing to endure. My son had the Mexican Mafia with arm around his throat and gun to his head. He was delivering in their territory…He said he thought of me reading his death in the paper..He has many close calls.
The nurses came to see me from all over the hospital because they could not believe my age…Same with many relatives we look at least 10 years younger…The nurses thought I was much younger than 10 years less. It was very strange to have them come from all departments to see me. I learned early that it was not smart for me not to cry at spanking..So I learned to cry at the first swat…lasted much less…Mother bruised her hands on my bottom… All for now.

I agree, ‘an asterisk’ is what I see…because either the WHOLE TRUTH will be known, or buried as usual in this administration. Keep in mind, no man is without fault, and I;m sure dirty little secrets could be found in each and every one of those being our President, from the very beginning, but revisionist historians are fast and furious these days, with words of no substance turning lies to truth, many times with the help of media, celebrities, educators and entertainment.
It takes digging, these days, to find WHOLE TRUTH. It takes looking not only to a mans words…but his personal actions and hearts matching those words.
Today taking a bowl movement ranks more pleasant than politicians, and with the rewarding of immorality, ignorance, lies and liars, especially in this administration, carrying a Bible or even sitting in a church, is no proof God ever existed in their hearts…but what they stand by does expose who they are, to those that use their ‘eyes to see’ and ‘ears to hear ‘ that God gives His children over the fleshly version that listen to the sweet sound and sight of immorality, lust, lying, stealing and covet. The word ‘covet’ alone, would wrap this administration is shame, to those that can see and hear.
