      Casual dismissal of a couple of dan-ranked jiu-jitsuka on your part absent any other curricula vitae on your part other than possessing a smidgen of Asian DNA and driving a Japanese car hardly confers on you any demonstrable street credibility of making pronouncements that you are some sort of arbiter of any thing Asian.

      It appears that all you know is anger and resentment toward the faith and profession of others. Martial arts, including Jiu Jitsu, can change a person’s life, can bring them faith, courage, and trust. I can turn a trouble person’s life around. If can also be used to harm. Teaching the way of life, the good, the right, the courageous, along with self-defense tactics, is good. These arts should NOT be taught without also teaching the philosophy that grew as the arts developed. If you have a mult-milliliter of Asian blood, you would know this. Driving a Prius doesn’t make you good, progressive, right or Asian. And your attitude makes you stupid.

My Dad was a cop (a damn good one, too) and guns were everywhere in our home and with four kids running around there never were any problems. We knew gun safety and we knew what Dad would do if we broke the rules. A gun free home is no excuse for ignorance. Learn how to use your gun safely and understand its power and potential for great harm. How’s that for a philosophy?

It’s OK, this video. But my old friend from the mid-1960s (Joe Pescatore) would have probably condensed this explanation in a manner more inviting to someone who would want to practice the art & philosophy…but English was Joe’s native language (aside from his ever-present, friendly smile).
