Americans Are Migrating To More Free Republican States

movingAmericans are migrating from less-free liberal states to more-free conservative states, where they are doing better economically, according to a new study published Thursday by George Mason University’s Mercatus Center.

The “Freedom in the 50 States” study measured economic and personal freedom using a wide range of criteria, including tax rates, government spending and debt, regulatory burdens, and state laws covering land use, union organizing, gun control, education choice and more.

It found that the freest states tended to be conservative “red” states, while the least free were liberal “blue” states.

The freest state overall, the researchers concluded, was North Dakota, followed by South Dakota, Tennessee, New Hampshire and Oklahoma. The least free state by far was New York, followed by California, New Jersey, Hawaii and Rhode Island.

You would think this was a good thing, but that isn’t how it works… It’s not a migration, it’s an invasion. The freedom loving people from the blue states are moving away from the high tax nanny states seeking better opportunities and more freedom in so called “red” states, but they continue to vote the same way. They keep picking the candidates with a little “D” next to their name. I don’t know why, maybe its just habit, or maybe they just haven’t put 2 and 2 together. They vote for the Ds and the Ds implement policy just like they had in the state they just left. Taxes go up, but not as fast as spending… Illegal aliens start getting in state tuition, and gun laws get strict. Crime goes up, and school quality goes down. I’m all for immigration. If you can’t make your own state better using your vote, by all means, come to mine, but leave your liberal voting habits behind. If I wanted to live in a state like you just left, I’d move there.

Hoping you mean legal immigration. Their illegal rights seem to outweigh the USA legal citizens. Some are working & paying taxes but not enough to outweigh the illegals on welfare & all the other goodies. I was born in one of the good states. Now that I am retired I will return. However, I have noticed that the stinking muslims are there at an alarming rate. Their motels are not clean & smell horrible.

      amen to that

That is why Colorado and New Hampshire have Democrat legislatures, the business leave but they bring their employees with them, and Bloomberg spends his money on electing gun grabbers.

If they ar enot going to support the values that made our good states what they are, and vote appropriately, I wouldrather they stay where they are. They’re like trailer trash that moves into a neighborhood, trashes it out, and then moves on when it becomes unfit for living. So now they’ve trashed the whole norhteast, and they don’t want to live there any longer because there aren’t any jobs….well please stay away from Texas. They don’t want to come here anyway, we’re just a bunch of Bible-thumpin’, gun-totin’, Chew tabaccee rednecks. Liberals get heckled and bulllied here. They wouldn’t like it here. And it’s way too hot in the summers. Oh, and ratttlesnakes, and stuff like that- almost unbearable. Don’t know why any of us likes it here. It’s almost unliveable.
The truth of that is that if they told us we could live on a rock we’d do it to get away from the government that these liberals have handed us.

I guess that most people don’t want the ‘bait-for-inner-city-thugs existence’ so very typical of the blue states anymore. Go figure… they’ve even got the receiving end of redistribution.

Shotsk10 is RIGHT, that is what the NY’rs did to NC.. They left the things they did not like in NY, and then voted in the same kind of Aholes in NC. So when you buy gas and you like close to SC, or Va. you cross the boarder and save at least 0.20 a gallon.

EVEN if you do not like the GOP camdidate, YOU MUST vote. He is the LESSOR of the evil. Just like in 2008 McCain was the lessor of the evil. His illegal imigration policy sucked. In the PA primary 28% did not vote for him. 7% for Hunkabee , also bad illegal policy, 21% for Dr. Ron Paul.. The last election Those that did not vote at all cause they did not like Romney, screwed the rest of us andthemselves. If you don’t vote, You can’t complain.
