Anti-Obamacare Rallies: Organizers Hail Big Turnout Because no One Wants It

to die forHeritage Action, a conservative political advocacy group, estimated Friday a total of 7,500 people attended its nine-city tour to promote the campaign to “defund Obamacare” as part of an upcoming spending
showdown on Capitol Hill.

The tour concluded late Thursday in Wilmington, Del., but a spokesman for the group says members of Congress are now hearing from their constituents and that the anti-funding push “dominated August and changed the calculus of congressional vote counters.”

Yet some Republicans remain not so bullish about the strategy to take down President Obama’s health care law as part of the debate to fund the government past Sept. 30, fearing the party could be blamed for a potential government shutdown.
