We get it, it’s this guy’s job to defend people accused of crimes. He isn’t allowed to discuss certain aspects of the case. But he does say that a 14-year-old girl consented to sex with a 17 and 18 year old in a high school bathroom. Take all that in for a minute. It seems very hard to believe.
And Carlson isn’t buying it. Check it out.
“Man, you better be right about this if you’re good to be impugning the character of a 14-year-old girl who says she was raped. Other people said they heard her screams. To impugn her character, you really before God better be sure that you are on the right side of this.”
“I think what occurs to me is that we have a system here. When people are accused, we go through the system.”
We hear about rape time and time again on college campuses. It’s become normal to hear about a woman claiming a guy raped her and he is automatically labeled guilty, whether he did it or not. If you call into question the girl’s character, you are “victim-blaming” or “victim-shaming”.
So why is it different when an illegal is said to have raped a girl? Why is it okay to call into question her character?
This is the world we live in right now…
