When a woman is going out of her way to disarm other women, you can only assume she isn’t a true supporter of women’s rights or anyone’s rights at all. Trump hammers this topic perfectly. Check it.
Donald Trump unveiled a new nickname for Hillary Clinton on Friday – ‘Heartless Hillary’ – as he received the endorsement of the powerful National Rifle Association and framed the Democratic front-runner as an unfeeling politician who wants to deny women in high-crime neighborhoods the means to protect themselves.
‘Hillary wants to disarm vulnerable Americans in high crime neighborhoods,’ the billionaire Republican said at the NRA’s annual meeting, minutes after the group’s chief government relations executive Chris Cox announced the endorsement.
‘Whether it’s a young single mom in Florida or a grandmother in Ohio, Hillary wants them to be defenseless, wants to take away any chance they have of survival.’
‘You know the only way they’re going to be able to protect themselves,’ Trump said, referring to the private ownership of firearms. ‘And if you take that gun away from them, it’s going to be a very unfair situation.’
‘That’s why we’re going to call her “Heartless Hillary!” Trump declared, admitting that ‘somehow I like “Crooked Hillary” better.’
The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees that ‘the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.’
The NRA is America’s largest and richest organization pushing back against progressives’ initiatives to pare back what was once seen as an absolute right.
Clinton, who is expected to be the Democrats’ standard-bearer in November, has pledged to use executive orders and a robust program of legislative fixes to insert the federal government more into the gun-owning and gun-buying process if she becomes president.
Trump, in his unique hyperbole, declared Friday that ‘Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment.’
‘Just remember that,’ he said. ‘We’re not talking about changing. She wants to abolish the Second Amendment. So we’re not going to let that happen. We’re going to preserve it, we’re going to cherish it.’
Over and over, he framed her opposition to the NRA’s viewpoint as a policy platform that would deny women the right to self-defense.
‘She’s putting the most vulnerable Americans in jeopardy, and this is a risk that we can no longer afford,’ he told thousands at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.
‘We’ve had enough. I think we’ve had enough. Wouldn’t you say?’
‘In trying to overturn the Second Amendment, Hillary Clinton is telling everyone, and every woman living in a dangerous community that she doesn’t have a right to defend herself,’ he claimed.
‘That is so unfair and that is so egregious.’
‘And I’ll tell you what: My poll numbers with women are starting to go up. I never thought of it. This should really lift them up!’
