Authorities in Britain have finally released the identities of terrorists who mowed down citizens with a van and continued their attack by stabbing people.
Two of the three jihadists involved have been named: Khuram Shazad Butt and Rachid Redouane.
Butt, 27, was born in Pakistan but is a British citizen. London’s Metropolitan Police and MI5 had known about Butt.
None of the intelligence gathered on him, however, suggested he was planning an attack on the London Bridge.
The second terrorist, Redouane who is 30, had an alias name Rachid Elkhdar. He is of Moroccan and Libyan dissent.
After the attack, which left 7 people dead and 48 injured, police detained 11 people after a series of raids.
So far the identity of the third man is being withheld.
British Prime Minister Theresa May said that his name would be released “when the investigation permits.”
