Officials have finally placed a claim on which terror network is responsible for the deaths of 50 and injuries of 60+ people. Scary reality we live in these days, people.
As you no doubt have heard today, terror has struck another airport in Europe, killing 50 and wounding more than 60. What is now being reported as three separate blasts struck the international terminal at Istanbul, Turkey’s main airport — an international hub that serves some 60 million travelers per year.
While no one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, U.S. counterterrorism officials are saying the “Brussels-style” attack has the hallmarks of ISIS.
A senior U.S. counterterrorism official told NBC News the Istanbul attack “fits the ISIS profile, not PKK.”
“There are only two groups capable of carrying out such a large-scale attack. This does not fit the PKK profile, they go after Turkish targets, not international targets,” the official said. [H/T CNN]
And now, the Turkish government is saying the same:
