Lori Shelton, a Mississippi resident, stated she was ‘always anti-gun’ until one day she came eye-to-eye with a home invader.
After her terrifying experience in April, Lori decided to take of a firearm training course. She wants to be ready if her home is ever targeted again.
Shelton is smart to take action. If only she didn’t believe the anti-gun press before!
According to News Channel 3, Shelton said, “I was getting ready for work doing my normal routine, and I heard a noise as I was getting out of the shower.”
Looking to see the source of the noise, she “saw a man coming through the back of the house.” Shelton said, “The first thing I thought was I gotta do something.”
But she was limited on options: her daughter was in bed asleep, her husband was at work, and she did not have a gun.
Checking once more to see where the intruder was, she stated “I peeked through the blinds, the blinds stayed closed and peeked through and saw him looking at me. I mean we made complete eye contact. He proceeded to come through the back of the house, and I ran back and dialed 911.”
Finally, when the police arrived the suspect had fled the scene. Luckily they managed to arrest him a short time later.
Shelton still feels uneasy and claims the suspect stole her “sense of security.”
She now takes her daughter with her to the firearms training course, saying, “I’ve enjoyed it, I’m glad to know that I have a 15-year-old daughter and she knows the safety and the rules, and I feel pretty confident in her if she ever had to use a weapon for her defense.”
Lori plans on getting her concealed carry permit as well.
Share this story with any woman who claims to be anti-gun and ask her if she would want to be put in this same situation Lori was in.
Guarantee the answer is no.
Then ask them what are they going to do about it.
