Actor Chris Hemsworth — AKA Thor — is attempting to reach a feminist following, or so we think.
On Monday, he said the role of James Bond should be redone to fit a female and he has just the person in mind, Charlize Theron. Theron is the lead role for Atomic Blonde, which hits theaters very soon.
It’s a spy film that highlights a female badass.
“She embodies every ounce of strength and nobility and dignity and integrity that the character should have,” Hemsworth explained. “She’s smart as hell. She’s physically able. Ya know watching her in those fight scenes [in Snow White and the Huntsman], doing it in high heels by the way and 8-foot long gown, was even more impressive. And I just think why not? It’s time.”
Here is where we think Hemsworth is wrong.
Bond should not change. It is a classic character that has been loved over the ages.
There are too many effeminate males running around. A role like this needs to stay manly and not replaced by a woman.
If anything, Charlize should stick to the Atomic Blonde role. She has something great going there, or we will see after the movie hits theaters.
What say you?
