Congressman Luis Gutierrez ARRESTED by ICE and You’re Going to Want to Know Why

No, it’s not because he’s secretly an illegal alien. He was arrested because he was throwing a tantrum. This is what happens when you advocate for something that is illegal.

A congressman who advocates for illegal aliens was handcuffed by police Monday after refusing to leave a Chicago Immigration and Customs Enforcement office.

According to NBC Chicago, Representative Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.), an ardent supporter of open borders and immigration reform, was attending a meeting between ICE officials and immigration lawyers, activists, community leaders and other elected officials.

“They were asking about specific cases and about the general conduct of ICE and deportations,” said Gutierrez’s director of communications, Doug Rivlin. “The congressman has decided that he did not get the answers he was looking for from the ICE regional director and he’s going to be staying inside until he gets answers, even if that means risking arrest.”

Gutierrez attempted to do exactly that, resulting in him being briefly handcuffed. Seven other people who attended the meeting also refused to leave.
