Egyptian President Abd Al-Sisi spoke to Muslim graduates at Al-Azhar University, on the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday. He called on clerics to teach respect for others from the mosque pulpits.
President Al-Sisi also congratulated the Christians on Christmas, stating: “What divides us destroys us.”
In January President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi became the first Egyptian president to visit a Christian Church on Christmas.
