At moments of disaster and destruction you would think people would be a little more civilized and compassionate to the struggle of humans in need. That is not the case for one university professor in Florida.
Over the weekend Kenneth L. Storey — whom is a sociology professor at the University of Tampa — said Texas deserved Hurricane Harvey because they threw their full support behind Donald Trump during the 2o16 general election.
According to Campus Reform, ol’ Ken posted the disgusting comments on twitter and said the whole thing was “instant Karma” over Texas’ constant record of voting Republican.
“I don’t believe in instant Karma but this kinda feels like it for Texas. Hopefully this will help them realize the GOP doesn’t care about them,” Storey tweeted.
He received immediate push-back from his followers on twitter, however the professor stood by his statement.
“Well, the good people there need to do more to stop the evil their state pushes. I’m only blaming those who support the GOP there,” he wrote.
Eventually Ken caved in, deleting his previous hateful tweets, and issued an apology saying, “I deeply regret a statement I posted yesterday. I never meant to wish ill will upon any group. I hope all affected by Harvey recover quickly.”

Do you think he did this to save his skin from getting fired?
Interesting how a Florida professor would say such a thing, when the state itself voted Trump and are inline to get hit by hurricanes. Hopefully his ill-wishing doesn’t hurt the rest of Florida, because you know… karma and all.
