Just moments after Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) defected on Obamacare, a clearly furious Vice President Mike Pence took to the stage and called for a vote on current legislation to overturn the failed healthcare system.
“A vote against Graham-Cassidy is a vote to save ObamaCare,” Pence said. He gave the speech in Anderson, Ind., and was referring to the legislation co-sponsored by GOP Sens. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) and Bill Cassidy (La.).
“It’s time for every member of the Republican majority to keep their word to the American people,” he said. We all know that was RINO McCain he was referring to, but Pence decided to keep things classy and not mention the traitor’s name.
This is what McCain said Friday morning in a statement, “I cannot in good conscience vote for the Graham-Cassidy proposal. I believe we could do better working together, Republicans and Democrats, and have not yet really tried.”
