A water cannon has been used by German police at a protest staged by the ‘Hooligans against Salafists’ group, also known as Ho.Ge.Sa, in Cologne. The far-right demonstration was expected to gather hundreds of participants.

A live feed from the scene showed officers trying to sustain the protesters and finally deploying a water cannon.
