As the person who actually wrote that article, on which you put your name, I appreciate the link “read more”, but would think you would have enough respect for people to make it clear you didn’t write a single word of it. -BuzzPo.com.

    • Grayzel

“BuzzPo.com–Gun owners are fond of the saying “you can have my weapon when you take . . .” It was clear to me and when the link is included it is perfectly clear.

    • jimpeel

It is a Fair Use issue and it complies. Nowhere does it claim to be the work of the poster. I look at these articles all of the time and I know they are a synopsis of the actual article with a link to it at the bottom. I’m intelligent enough to know the difference. No harm, no foul.

Perhaps the synopsis should include attribution to appease the authors.

    • Rattlerjake

Let’s mention that the second bureaucrap to speak stated that the requirement for handgun owners to need a permit and pay a fee is legal. WRONG!!!!!!!!! The second amendment says: “shall not be infringed” – there is NOT ONE court decision that agrees with his lie!, but in fact are many SCOTUS decisions that refute his claims. Every state RATIFIED the Constitution, which means that they agreed to follow and abide by it and are not permitted to make ANY law that infringes on individual rights. Ovomit care is an unlawful and unconstitutional tax, as well as an unlawful and unconstitutional infringement on individual rights. If these scumbag libturd politicians did their job and executed convicted violent criminals, instead of housing, feeding, schooling, and releasing them we would eliminate 99% of the problem.

I was just reviewing an email from Sen. Chris Murphy, D, CT, regarding the re-authorization of veteran benefits. While there I noted that nowhere was his political affiliation mentioned; in checking his personal web-site stand on Gun Control; I found it to be the standard diatribe we see from liberals. In responding, I ended by reminding him that the Patriots who fired the “shot heard around the world” came from his neck of the woods; and that was the beginning of the reason CT needs a Senator: and if his State’ government isn’t careful, it may well happen again.

    • RufusChoate

Chris Murphy is a self described Progressive. He is an inept dolt.

      • John Stratemeyer

Chris Murphy is a windbag, all right. Down here in the Union of Liberal/socialist/Democrat Counties of Maryland (ULSDCM), we have John Sarbanes, the son of “Tax them all” Paul. He’s a real chip off the old block.

I thought that PA loved their Liberal Reps and Senators? They keep sending them back to Washington.

          • babyhuey

EXACTLY! I love my Steelers and PA tries to say God and guns, good ol country folks, but it seems like they sure sucked up to the Democratic Party! Sad when they can’t see the Dems are destroying this country! It beyond OBVIOUS! Over 200 top brass gone/removed from active duty under Obama, gun control, higher taxes and deficits, low job production, kissing ass to our enemies and making us weak. I wont go so far as to call him a Manchurian candidate BUT HE’S PRETTY FLIPPIN CLOSE SINCE THIS IS WHAT A MANCHURIAN WOULD DO!

          • Barbara Anne Hess

I live near Gettysburg and I know very few people who are Liberals. The problem we have is Harrisburg, Philadelphia and the larger cities. The smaller towns and rural areas are mainly Conservative. We have to keep trying to win back our state to be Conservative.

          • John Stratemeyer

I can see myself living in Gettysburg, but if I do move out of state, it will probably be to Texas or Arizona.

TomK. You have got that right, there is NO ASSAULT WEAPONS, that was term made up by Hollywood in the late 1980′s for the movies! Check any Gun Dictionary, the term does not exist..!!!

      • ThomasDanielFrain

You may be right about it coming from Commieornia, but I don’t think it was from Hollyweird.

“Popularization of the term “assault weapon” is attributed by many to the 1988 book “Assault Weapons and Accessories in America”, written by gun-control activist Josh Sugarmann, and to subsequent public reaction to the January 1989 Cleveland School massacre in Stockton, CA.[12] Sugarmann wrote:
Assault weapons—just like armor-piercing bullets, machine guns, and plastic firearms—are a new topic. The weapons’ menacing looks, coupled with the public’s confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons—anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun—can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons.[30]”

From the Wikipedia page “Assault Weapon.”

Politicians play loose with the language that they profess to speak, but obviously do not understand.

    • USPatriotOne

I disagree…The term weapon all on it’s own makes that statement, to add the word Assault is and OxyMoron! That would make a kn*fe, a Club, a Rock, and hand full of sand in the eyes all Assault Weapons…Weapons yes, assault weapons, NO!

      • J. Brown

Agreed. The government posts notices regarding weapons at all locations.
The Veteran Administration particularly bans weapons, apparently imagining that all veterans are going to go “Postal”.

        • Blackjack6

Just remember, we get the term “postal” from an assault by a FEDERAL employee at a FEDERAL facility shooting co workers.

          • J. Brown

Acknowldged, Veterans being former federal employees could be considered. The current administration imagines that all of us are terrorists. I stretch my imagination to stay in sync with the government.

Took the VA forty five years to admit that I was a veteran. No puncture wounds nor missing parts. Finally Agent Orange and PTSD were acknowledged to be combat injuries. Long story that we might tell over at some reunion. Had to speak harshly to get the process off center.

        • sandraleesmith46

That’s because we all have PTSD and that makes us dangerous, according to Boxer {D-CA}; did you miss that? It was the excuse for multiple home invasions by “police” to confiscate weapons from Vets that were legally owned, and by vets who has posed no viable threat to date.

          • J. Brown

PTSD is so bad that we had to invent “road rage”. Since I left RVN i have not fired a shot in anger, but I’m a threat.
Good to hear from you, retirement treating you well?

          • sandraleesmith46

Oh, you know the usual. I used different “weapons” in my war; but they can be just as deadly when misused. I think that was city folk that invented “road rage”, though, not Vets. Or maybe frustrated suburbanites with long commutes…

          • J. Brown

Lived in DC area in late sixties, perfect time and location.

    • sandraleesmith46

That’s for sure; the Chinese sure use knives to “assault” and kill with regularly enough…even mass murders!

      • J. Brown

MSM never comments either. Too busy covering other items more in the agenda driven camp they occupy.
Several years back a young female attorney opined that we would have evil in the world untill all guns were destroyed. Couldn’t tell me the caliber of gum Cain used to slay Abel. A liberal teacher at the meeting called me a smart aleck; I believe that’s what he said.

        • sandraleesmith46

Huh… do rocks COME in calibers now? They didn’t use to. David used one on Goliath too….Maybe we should ban sling shots? Those are lethal weapons too… The poor libs just CAN’T deal with those little inconveniences called facts at all.

Familar with Quantico, lived at Triangle for period of time. Still drop in at the museum on ocassion. Marine thing?

          • sandraleesmith46

I lived off base in Triangle while at the USNH in Quantico. So kind of a Marine thing; but I was Navy. I haven’t been east of the Mississippi in over 30 years now though, and have no desire to go out there again; turns out I’m allergic to that region, literally.

          • J. Brown

I moved to the midwest in ’71 and visit family if I go east, but not very often. Hate driving in heavy traffic. Capable, but not a pleasure.

          • sandraleesmith46

Funny; that was the same year I moved west; to CO, and later to AZ.

          • J. Brown

Good time to abandon DC. Spent a lot of time in DEN. Job related.

          • sandraleesmith46

Sure was. I spent a fair amount of time in DC, but it was more “hobby” related; we used to bring a lot of our patients into Denver to the hospitals there {EMS}; but I lived up northeast of there about 25 miles.

          • J. Brown

Wear a face mask when reading these. I’m recovering from some respiratory issue. Winter in the midwest has been rough during this period of global warming. Sounds like you were east and south of Ft. Collins.

          • sandraleesmith46

Fortunately most of those are droplet infection, not transmitted by electrons through airwaves. I know, we get too much more of it and we’ll be having glaciers down here in AZ. Actually due south on I-25, hang a left at Lafayette, and straight across to Brighton.

            Thanks little sister.
I’m off to my mid morning nap. Perhaps when I awake I’ll find this all gone.

          • sandraleesmith46

Hope your nap helped; but it didn’t go away, sorry. BTW, did you follow me on Twitter earlier?

          • J. Brown

Nap was helpful, getting recovery in process.
Haven’t much to do with social networking, law enforcement career suggested that harm could come from it so I haven’t done much. My cousins life revolves around it and I’ll spare the details. Have followed your comments on these blogs.

          • sandraleesmith46

I can understand why being a cop would tend to discourage that. I just wondered because a Jacob Brown started following me on Twitter yesterday; and thought it might be another “overlap”. I have several between Facebook, Twitter and Linked in and the Disqus sites too. I use it as a quick way to disseminate information.

          • J. Brown

I’ll find a reason to follow you. Mostly because of your rational thinking. I enjoy that along with spelling, punctuation, and other literary qualities rarely found today. Have never been an English teacher nor pretended I was one.
            More on that over time.

          • sandraleesmith46

I wasn’t an English teacher either, but my Aunt Ruth was, I guess she rubbed off on me some. I just saw the other day that the SAT no longer includes essay questions; I’m sure we can both guess why. It is nice to read posts from people who do recall those classes we all took through school, and utilize the lessons. Hang onto your common sense tight, though; it’s a severely endangered species.

          • J. Brown

My step mother was, so I inherited some of it. The rest was just a thing I picked up at San Diego. Boot camp is a great motivator.
More later, need a good nap, again. Take every opportunity to eat and sleep, the next one may be days away.

          • sandraleesmith46

I heard that about boot camp; and having met a couple of DI’s who’d mustanged, I believe it. R Lee Ermey has it down PAT! But then that’s where he learned that skill. Whatever works, I say. Hope the nap helps; I’m going to hit the hay early tonight; I have to do a morning tomorrow. UGH!

          • J. Brown

Dated a WM drill instructor for awhile, seperate form of education. She knew more four letter words than a chief bos’ns mate.
Our senior Drill Instructor was a quiet, mild mannered soul who cut us to our kees without the Lee Ermey style. Many stories that are now funny; then it was fear of the almighty.
            Pleasant dreams.

          • sandraleesmith46

Maybe R Lee is a PI model; there were some artlcles in Leatherneck about their DI’s, and boots not making it through while I was on active. Then again, the saying “still waters run deep” may also apply. I’ve known some women Marines like that also. I’m not sure, but I think it was partly trying to prove they “were Marine material”; and partly the culture from which they came.

          • J. Brown

Believe that he affected the role for the movie and it stuck. Changing it would be a career disaster. Few “Hollywood Marine” drill instructors were like that. Always got the job done though.
In the “fleet” we did the required functions the same. More on my time when we get time.

          • sandraleesmith46

That’s true; it is his career personna. He should have spoken to Charles Durning a bit before getting stuck in that . Even in non-military roles he’s like that. I look for ward to that.

          • J. Brown

Lou Gossett took on the same mannerisms in “An Officer and a Gentleman”. The Drill Instructors at Pensacola flight school did not act like that. More like a stern father. Even the former Sergeant company commander was rather pleasant, Me.
Did your early morning go well? Don’t do early nor late duties any more. Forty years was more than adequate.
Let me rephrase some of that, my dog gets what she wants at any hour.

          • sandraleesmith46

Yes, he did; and he reprised that somewhat in “Iron Eagle”. The DI’s at Pensacola had a similar situation to the one I had at Newport; he wasn’t dealing with kids who would still be under him; but some who would shortly or already did outrank him. I suspect that would make a difference in their manner of instruction, As for your dog, you see my “boss” and she rules the roost too; just now my lap is a “bathtub”. :-)

          • J. Brown

Never treated any of my instructors with disrespect after a rank reversion. Did scare the recruiter when we passed in the eve of my active duty. I ask if he remembered me. No sir!
I mentioned that he had recruited me ( 10 years earlier ). His color changed somewhat and he asked if I was mad at him. Only to the point he hadn’t recruited me sooner. I’d have been an O-4 if he had. New story not worth typing.

          • sandraleesmith46

I don’t think any of us disrespected our DI either; at least I never saw or heard anything about it even though we were already commissioned and he was an NCO. I was only observing that might have influenced how they behaved with certain classes as opposed to others they might have trained. My Dad was a Pensacola alum too; the Navy firmly planted his feet in the clouds in ’39, and TWA kicked him down in ’75, when he turned 60.

          • J. Brown

Dad took me for an airplane ride when I was eight months

          • sandraleesmith46

I’ve noticed that between the ears we seem to kind of “stop” somewhere around the 18-25 area, regardless of what the body does afterward, until it gets forceful enough to make us realize, “oh dang, I really am getting too old for that…” And I remember Dad complaining the last few years of his flying career that 60 wasn’t old, and he was too young to retire. Well, 60 wasn’t that old, when I passed through there. I was up early in life too, in the air, but visual problems made following that career path out of the question. So i wound up following Mom’s into nursing instead.

          • J. Brown

Was highly active until forty, body served notice that runnin

          • sandraleesmith46

I wasn’t unhappy with it. I also did EMS as a “hobby” {read volunteer} for years. I’m kind of a natural born care giver I guess. I was still riding a bicycle as primary transportation to about 8 years ago, when my knees and hips said “no more”, dang it; that was good exercise too.

          • J. Brown

Still ride my bike, but only on flat ground. No more hills nor dales. Don’t need a high level of activity to accomplish what I want.

          • sandraleesmith46

I’d have to go clear down to “no man’s land” below I-10 to find some of that; I live in the other mile high city; we don’t do flat; just hills and dales.

          • J. Brown

My bike and legs are not atempting to do either hill nor dale. In the middle part of the country we have just enough hills to be annoying. As soon as the spring breaks perchance I’ll air up the tires and begin afresh getting back into top shape. Something to do for old age? If I go below I-10 there’ll be only alligators and swamps. I don’t hunt them nor watch the show on the tube. Time for another dose of medicine, still recovering from something.

          • sandraleesmith46

Not here; below I-10 we keep desert, saguaros, and drug cartels; in CA, they keep San Diego and Tijuana below it. There are some ranches too. And MCAS Yuma is down there as well.

          • J. Brown

Spots that I recall with some fondness. In Louisiana they use
I-20 to prevent the snow from accumulating in the southern parts of the state. Interstate Highway system has some unexpected benefits apparently.
Time to visit the doctors so…………..

          • sandraleesmith46

Hmmm, I’m pretty sure that wasn’t one of the planned purposes for those highways. But the snow does tend to stay mostly north of I-40 in AZ, or at least up on the rim. Hope it’s nothing serious with the doc…

          • J. Brown

Many times we get consequences that were unexpected by our original plans. Allow your imagination to “run wild” with that.
            Semper fi.

          • sandraleesmith46

Possibly one or two more than I actually wanted, even. :-) I’m sure in the fields you worked that’s true; people can be very strange critters indeed, and some of the “stupid human tricks” do defy credulity too.

          • J. Brown

As bad as working the ER? When I believe I’ve seen it all some nice person comes along an explains that there is much more.

          • sandraleesmith46

I was doing “pre-ER” in the boonies… including rodeos, stock car races, oil rigs and chemical plants, farms/ranches, couple of railroads and a major airport, with some smaller ones in the area… besides the town stuff.

          • J. Brown

Trying to get signed into Disqus. Maybe tomorrow.
Patch them and I’ll medevac them. Good, challenging task with not much fun.

          • sandraleesmith46

I couldn’t get in for a couple of days last week; I think either something is going on with their servers or someone is playing with accounts. I’ve been hearing of people having trouble intermittently for the past couple of months.
I was pretty good at the patching, sounds like a plan.

Gotta have hope. More when the world is on track.

          • sandraleesmith46

I made that mistake once; I’m REAL careful to not repeat it! I got slammed with every kind of frustrating event God could send my way, for MONTHS after that…! But there is something slowing things down, it does seem.

          • J. Brown

Might be entering a phase just now. Any number of trying events that test my resolve. Suck it up and say your prayers.

          • sandraleesmith46

Yeah, sounds right…. I’ll pray for you to get through it with your sanity intact….

          • J. Brown

A friend and I are trying to solve the MA370 mystery just now, even my associate at the coroners office has joined in. Old people don’t sleep well so we need something in the dark hours to amuse us.
Appreciate your prayers and emotional support. Any cold case files from your line of work to add to our activities. Perhaps a mysterious disease?

          • sandraleesmith46

I’ve noticed that lately myself; the not sleeping so well part. On MA370; my bet is that it’s in a hangar somewhere, getting an airplane make-over; new paint, new tail number, new transponder, etc, and my best guess is Iran somewhere, but Pakistan, Iraq, also possible. The pilot was found to be part of a cell planning a skyjacking; and would have had the technical skill and know-how to shut down the systems; being as that’s part of the training when they get ready to fly a new {to them} type of plane. The debris off Perth, probably left-overs from the tsunami that took out Fukushima; it’s all over the oceans now. The last tracked heading had the plane in the northwest corridor heading up toward western Asia. There wasn’t fuel enough to then turn around and go BACK again to that near Australia. 2 Iranians on board with stolen passports belonging to an Italian and an Austrian could have been part of it too; and could have commandeered the “walk-arounds”; shutting off the cabin O2is easy from the cockpit, there’s a switch to allow for that when the plane has descended below 10,000. The hatches don’t have to pull in, they slide up so when the plane dipped down to 5,000 it would be fairly easy to unload the bodies of the passengers and crew., before climbing back up to cruising altitude {burns way too much fuel below about 25, 000.} Any questions?

          • J. Brown

            Sandra Lee,
You points are all valid and in the main right on.
You are preaching to the choir though. Not meant to be scolding, but my friend and I are both retired airline pilots with almost a century of experience. More on that when we can get together and not tell the world all we know. Gary was a Captain on 777s.
The transponder doesn’t need to be changed, it is a radio with a series of knobs ( channel changers ) that’s reset before each flight. Some of our wags suggest that each plane should have one that can’t be turned off. Imagine a short circuit in that radio and no ability to isolate it, loss of airplane because of an uncontrolled fire (?). Airplanes are complex and not as well understood as most imagine. A/C can be depressurized at any time if needed/required/desired. Had a decompression over Nashville years back, scared the stewardesses, but was a routine emergency for the cockpit crew. We practice it at recurrent training annually.

          • sandraleesmith46

I’ll bow to that; I’m just the pilot’s kid. Yes they are complex, and getting more so by the year, it seems. My Dad flew every thing from open cockpit, bi-wing Navy trainers, up to and including the full line of the 707s, so from a compass and a sextant up to and including Dopler-Loran navigation. You pick up a LOT by osmosis. And boy do I know about recurrent training! Ditto check flights, and so on! I understand they keep all the manuals in the planes now; Dad used to haul a 60lb nav kit full of all those and a mess of other things, every flight! I also know what happens when someone lands at sea level having forgotten to depressurize from cruising altitude, besides you can’t open the hatch! Are they no longer making the cabin crew do recurrent training too? They used to, just for such situations or worse emergencies.

          • J. Brown

Cabin crew does recurrent with the cockpit crew, but we get a couple of extra days of airplane stuff just to provide job security to the feds. My son picked up a lot by osmosis as well, eye sight kept him out of the cockpit. I still have my flight bag with the TONS of papers. Did by logic and commonsense lighten it by pounds. We graduated from sextants to INS to now GPS. Technology make life different, perhaps better or so it appears. Now it only takes two pilots and lots of electronics to make most of them work.
Glad I’m retired, but I miss it some.

          • sandraleesmith46

They used to, I know., and it wouldn’t make sense to quit that. I know; when Dad started with TWA, they still had radio operators, as well as navigators, engineers, and RELIEF pilots, in addition to the regular captains and co-pilots. Of course it took 15 hours to pedal from NYC to Heathrow, and they had to stop in Shannon or Gander on the way for gas. Navigators stood on stools and shot the stars through a bubble on top of the planes. That was kind of the “dark ages” still. By the time he retired it was whittled down to 3 in the cockpit and TWA had cross trained their engineers as a 3rd pilot by then, so when the engineer slots were eliminated they just melded into the pilot lists.
We should probably take this off site, since it is way off topic. Drop me an e-mail at the posted name @gmail.com,please? I’d like to keep contact in general if that’s okay with you.

The politicians don’t know one end of a gun from the other that’s why they were voted in as lawmakers they don’t know SQUAT don’t give in to their stupid brutal laws that shouldn’t even exist we have our rights and the US Constitution …….. PERIOD

  • John Stratemeyer

Time and again, we see posts on this site that refer to We, the People, as “sheeple.” It torques my jaws every time I see one. Did you hear the applause that this courageous man received? did you note that every word he said cold be understood? That the words of the two lecturing politicians were often muffled and inaudible? If 100,000 to 350,000 Connecticut gun-owners refuse to comply with “assault weapon” confiscation, this could get very interesting if President Obozo and his liberal/socialist/Democrat (LSD) Myrmidons and their RINO allies try it on a national scale. Sheeple? I firmly believe that We, the People, are just like this man.

    • theresa

The term “sheeple” refers to the people that blindly follow what the government tells them to do. I have not seen a “sheep” on this page so far!

      • John Stratemeyer

I know what it means, and that there are plenty of them around. But it still ticks me off because I believe that most Americans are just like this guy..

        • Tina Anthony

Then why do they keep voting the gun grabbing democraps in?

          • John Stratemeyer

I think the big reason is that the “Establishment” GOP seems more interested in compromise, rather than declaring what they stand for and sticking to it come hell or high water. Voters see the GOP as liberal/socialist/Democrat (LSD) lite, and they come to the conclusion that, if the GOP is going to act like LSDs, why not go all the way and vote for an actual LSD? At least you know what the LSDs stand for.
More than that, the “Establishment” GOP puts up “leaders” like John “Tears” Boehner, RINO John McCain, and moderates like Mitt Romney and Bob Dole. They don’t exactly get the “run out and vote” juices flowing and people stay home.
We need to nominate somebody in the mold of Sarah Palin or Ted Cruz. Somebody who can excite Conservatives through the power of his message and ability to communicate it effectively, the way Ronald Reagan did. Anyone who isn’t afraid to debate Hillary Rodham “What difference does it make?” Clinton head to head, and has the ability to win the argument will do.
Had Mitt Romney been able to flesh out his plan to make America Energy Independent, he’d be President today. No country on Earth possesses the industrial might of the U.S.
All Mr. Romney had to do was explain how AEI would have created high-salaried jobs in every field from accounting to trucking. AEI would bring down the price of everything form gas to food. OPEC and Russia would be faced competition, and an economic war that they couldn’t win. They can’t out-produce us, and would therefore be unable to beat our prices.
The War on Terror might be over and won because there would be less money for OPEC to fund terrorists. Russia would be too busy making ends meet to worry about rebuilding the Soviet Empire. The problem with ObozoCare have the liberal/socialist/Democrats LSDs in big trouble. If the GOP puts up a true Conservative and he/she jumps on the AEI bandwagon, happy times will be here again.

    • Memphis Viking

If most of us were like this man, we probably wouldn’t be in the situation we’re in.

      • John Stratemeyer

I believe that most of us are like this man, but not enough of us have been as dedicated as he is. His declared intention to not comply in the event of a government gun confiscation is just the tip of the iceberg. If you noted the bewildered looks on the faces of the pro-confiscation politicians, you have to wonder if they were thinking the same thing.

        • Memphis Viking

Many of us are, but I still don’t believe most are. It doesn’t take this level of dedication to simply not vote for totalitarian Democrats in the first place.

          • John Stratemeyer

What it takes is for the GOP to put up a genuine Conservative candidate who inspires voters to turn out. Bob Dole, John McCain, and Mitt Romney don’t fit the description. When you come down to it, we lost because we didn’t turn out in sufficient numbers to overcome the inevitable LSD voter fraud. Those guys were “GOP Establishment” candidates, or liberal/socialist/Democrat (LSD) lite. If they put up a Chris Christie to oppose Hillary Rodham “What difference does it make?” Clinton, we’ll wake up to President-elect Hillary Rodham “What difference does it make?” Clinton.

          • Memphis Viking

Oh, I agree. The last time the Republicans put up a real conservative as a presidential candidate, they won back to back landslides.

          • John Stratemeyer

It turns my stomach when the “Establishment” GOP throws genuine Conservative leaders like Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul under the bus. The excuse is always something along the lines that those candidates don’t have enough appeal to win a national election. Well, apparently, neither did John McCain, Mitt Romney, or Bob Dole. I say, “Let’s find out!”

          • sandraleesmith46

Could we please stick to the ones that are at least Constitutionally eligible? Cruz isn’t.

  • DrZarkov99

The stupidest act the CT government pulled was to inform the 14,000 gun owners who were willing to register, but missed the deadline, that their weapons and magazines would now be confiscated! Now that’s gonna be a real motivator to get the rest of those who purposely ignored the law to go register, right?

You would think a real Progressive would learn from the President, and just like he did with Obamacare mandates, issue a letter of extended registration “opportunity”. Combined with some better PR work, they might actually have persuaded more of the reluctant to play their silly game, but now it’s the state declaring the people to be “domestic enemies”. I can’t imagine the internal conflict within the various law enforcement people in CT, some of whom don’t savor the idea of starting a shooting war with their own otherwise law-abiding citizens.

Unless the state uses some of the mush that passes for brain tissue, this is only going to go badly. They risk an internal revolt among the state’s law enforcement community, to say the least, regardless of what some of the approved mouthpieces spout to the press.

The state may try to bring the BATF into the discussion to at least warn the “domestic enemies” they should obey the state law. However, I suspect that after the sting of “Fast and Furious”, BATF leaders will tell the state it’s not a Federal issue. What happens next is either exposing the state as unable to enforce its own law, or open warfare declaration (if they can find a state judge willing to issue an “open warrant” to allow house to house searches based on the idea that guns could be anywhere – unconstitutional, of course, and few state judges like being smacked down by Federal court).

In desperation, the Governor could try (and likely fail) to get the National Guard to perform gun searches. At that point, things get really dangerous. The Governor could throw up his hands and tell the President that his people are in a state of “insurrection”, because he’s unable to enforce state law using the resources available to him. If the President decides to play along, to save a fellow Democrat from embarrassment, he could invoke the Insurrection Act (first passed in 1807, and the most threatening piece of legislation ever passed by Congress) and declare martial law, sending military “regulars” in to “put down the insurrection” by confiscation of every gun in the state.

Given the dismal prospects for Democratic elections already, and with both domestic and foreign policies headaches galore, I’m hoping Obama will tell the CT Governor he has to solve his own problems. While that may drive the gun control freaks crazy, and humiliate the CT government, it will boost the President’s credibility for statements he’s made in the past as not being opposed to the 2nd amendment, and lessen the fear for Democrats this Fall.

On the other hand . . . such action could have the ripple effect (when gun owners across the country rise up in protest) of a declaration of widespread “insurrection” that the Democrats could use to insist that it’s too dangerous to proceed with elections this Fall, and might even open the door for a “President for Life” Obama. That’s pretty extreme, but we have to be aware it has at least a remote possibility of happening.

That dragon slayer is and must be “we the people” if we sit back and wait for a hero to appear we will go the same way as Germany, Italy and Japan in the thirties and many other nations both before and after that time. History itself is the teacher. If America is to remain free and get back the freedoms already lost it will be up to Americans not government. Governments, all governments, are inherently corrupt (evil?) and will always be inherently corrupt that is the reason the constitution was written the way it was. If we as a nation do not soon wake up and realize how we are being divided only the government can win this war. Yes it is a war, perhaps to the death!

The Citizens have every right to defend themselves and their property from corrupt politicians and corrupt cops. A law that violates the Constitution and Bill of Rights is not legal and has no legal standing. Then any attempt to confiscate weapons is simply theft, Criminal trespass and possibly extortion or attempted murder. Any police officers that attempt to steal from Citizens have become common criminals and must be treated as such. Any politician who signs such a document, any judge who authorizes a raid is in violation of the Constitution and is therefore a common criminal. Dispose of the trash.

The people behind this whole gun control movement, liberals in other words, have stated in no uncertain terms that their goal is the elimination of all guns from civilian possession. They will NOT go away, EVER. They will take compliance with this unconstitutional law as a first step and continue pushing toward their goal.

Every gun owner should stand with these people in Connecticut and boycott anything and everything in Connictetuit until these people are removed from their office. Next we can start a fund to help finance the defense of gun owners, and the defeat of those in Connecticut that passed this dam un constitutional law. If we show this state that they face a nationwide army against this law, all the other states will think twice before they tried to pass such crap.

      16 Am Jur 2d, Sec 177 late 2d, Sec 256:

The general misconception is that any statute passed by legislators bearing the appearance of law constitutes the law of the land. The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and any statute, to be valid, must be In agreement. It is impossible for both the Constitution and a law violating it to be valid; one must prevail. This is succinctly stated as follows:

The General rule is that an unconstitutional statute, though having the form and name of law is in reality no law, but is wholly void, and ineffective for any purpose; since unconstitutionality dates from the time of it’s enactment and not merely from the date of the decision so branding it. An unconstitutional law, in legal contemplation, is as inoperative as if it had never been passed. Such a statute leaves the question that it purports to settle just as it would be had the statute not been enacted.

Since an unconstitutional law is void, the general principles follow that it imposes no duties, confers no rights, creates no office, bestows no power or authority on anyone, affords no protection, and justifies no acts performed under it…..

A void act cannot be legally consistent with a valid one. An unconstitutional law cannot operate to supersede any existing valid law. Indeed, insofar as a statute runs counter to the fundamental law of the lend, it is superseded thereby.

No one Is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no courts are bound to enforce it.

All citizens and legal residents of the United States, by their presence on the territory of the United States, are subject to the militia duty, the duty of the social compact that creates the society, which requires that each, alone and in concert with others, not only obey the Constitution and constitutional official acts, but help enforce them, if necessary, at the risk of one’s life.

Any unconstitutional act of an official will at least be a violation of the oath of that official to execute the duties of his office, and therefore grounds for his removal from office. No official immunity or privileges of rank or position survive the commission of unlawful acts. If it violates the rights of individuals, it is also likely to be a crime, and the militia duty obligates anyone aware of such a violation to investigate it, gather evidence for a prosecution, make an arrest, and if necessary, seek an indictment from a grand jury, and if one is obtained, prosecute the offender in a court of law.

The truth of the Second Amendment.

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”.

By “well regulated” they mean regulation firearms, military grade. By “free state” they are not inferring that the states governing body needs protection from itself, but that the people have the right to protect themselves from a tyrannical governing body. By “keep & bear arms” they mean on our persons or stored at our convenience. Not subject to surrender or nullification on their doorstep. The “right of the people” and “shall not be infringed” I believe are obvious to all. This includes bladed & other weapons.

The Tenth Amendment sums it up: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

This not only attests to the right of the people to keep and bear arms by observing that the United States does not have the power to strip a citizen of their inherent right to keep and bear arms, but also reiterates that it is prohibited for the United States and the States to do so. Reaffirming that the right is reserved by the people.

On a final note the Fourteenth Amendment was never properly ratified. But rather it was forced upon the State especially the Southern States.

How about new Jim Crow laws for all the black on White crime & 1935 Nuremberg laws to get rid of the Roth family controlled Federal Reserve.

“On every question of construction, [let us] carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, & instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed.” Thomas Jefferson.

Norman Mattoon Thomas, a six time candidate for the U.S. Presidency under the “Communist Workers Party of America” said that he no longer had to seek high office because the Democrat Party had adopted their platform, & that the American people would never knowingly or willingly accept Communism they would do so under the guise of “Freedom & Democracy”. He said that in 1943.

“Well-regulated” means well-trained, disciplined, able to fight as a unit. “Free state” means existing in a state of freedom. “The right of the people” acknowledges that we already have the right; the right is assumed. “Keep and bear” means “own and carry.” “Arms” means anything that can be used as a weapon. “Shall not be infringed” means every gun control law on the books is unconstitutional and therefore null and void, whether federal or at the state or local leve. EVERY SINGLE ONE.

      • PFG

Yeah, they were trained however to use Military grade weapons not pea shooters or sporter arms. The original intent for whom the Constitution was written for is Strait, White, Christians of European descent, not blacks, jews / satanist, meso American Indians aka Mexicans, homo’s or any of the rest the the jew communists b.s. Also violent criminals were always hung not let out in ten or twenty years. As well as mental patients being aloud to walk around without adequate supervision. So in the end the people the Constitution was written are convicted of guilt by association to those who cannot handle the responsibility by the jew communist who loby for their integration & work towards the demise of Strait, White, Christians of European society.

Communist Occupational Provincial Government is what we are ruled by. They operate as any occupying force has through the ages. Heavy taxes, intrusive laws, KGB tactics, late night raids, random police stops, constant surveillance. This isn’t big brother, this is what the Communist jew immigrants planned when they first immigrated here after the Soviet revolution. That one too was slated as a freedom movement.

Because Communism is a jewish institution. Marx, Lenin, Stalin, were all jews. Communism is slavery.

The Roth Family Bankers (jews) own & operate the Federal Reserve. They also owned & operated the Dutch West Indies Corp that rounded up the blacks in Africa & sold them as slaves around the world. The Demonrat Party was the party of the old South & slavery.

The Bush’s are jews, Hillary “Rodham” Clinton was born & raised a jew, obongo’s mother’s real name is “Newman” yes another jew.

The elder Bush signed into effect the “Noahide Laws” wherein it is illegal for anyone but a rabi to have a bible or preach scripture.

They are doing to us what the Weimar Republic did to Germany after WWI, & the NAZI’s new what to do with them. There is no little fix, or reasoning with them. They want our death & the death of our once great nation is upon us first. They must be dealt with for what they are.

The jewish Talmud 200AD to 500AD is said to be the 1st & most racist document ever produced. It labels non jews as “cattle” & that it is o.k. to to rob from, rape, enslave, murder a non jew. When baby Bush was in office the FBI compiled crime statistics that showed 90% of all crime was black on White & was racially motivated. That 99.9% of all rapes were black on White. The jewish liberal defense system allows for this. Bush told them to stop compiling crime statistics. Then we got a black muslim jew for president.

“We may, with a kind of pious & grateful exultation, trace the fingers of Providence through those dark & mysterious events which first induced the states to appoint a general convention, & then led them one after another…into an adoption of the system recommended by that general convention, thereby, in all human probability, laying a lasting foundation for tranquility & happiness, when we had but too much reason to fear that confusion & misery were coming rapidly upon us. That the same good Providence may still continue to protect us, & prevent us from dashing the cup of national felicity just as it has been lifted to our lips, is my honest prayer.” George Washington 1788

The Republic needs to be reinstituted. It has not been protected for a long time. Even without the Communists we will still be left with corporate greed, this is another matter. One which the Communists use to their own benefit.

They are of their father the devil, and the lusts of their father they will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
        John 8:44

He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
        John 8:47

But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
        Luke 19:27

Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
        Revelation 3:9

    • Ballistic45

Our forefathers recognized that any State (Country) has the need for an army to protect its citizens, BUT they also knew history of States (Countries) claiming that having an army was justification for disarming citizens and the soon decline of that state (Country) into Dicatorship.. So they, in the 2nd Amendment gave a States ( Countries) need for an Army as a given ‘BUT (,)’ having such army was not to be used as an excuse to disarm citizens.. Thus insuring liberty.. Now read it again; “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”.
Think about that… It’s not about hunting or skeet shooting is it? No it is a protection against an armed government that cannot be taken away…

      • PFG

I guess you’re argreeing with me.

  • quarkie009

Dictatorships (CT) must be brought down below the dust of the ground. Those legislators should be kicked out of office and tried for treason against the US Constitution. and receive the maximum punishment.

  • HappyClinger

I guess the idiots in government don’t recall the first American Revolution began, right next door in Massachusetts, with attempted gun confiscation and plans to arrest Sam Adams and John Hancock, the leaders of the patriot movement to fight government tyranny. Or maybe they weren’t taught that little fact in history – because progressives wrote the history books! The irony is sublime. Those who don’t know history are doomed.

  • Doc

100,000 plus people makes a pretty sizable army. Connecticut would be in a LOT of trouble if even half of them got together as a resistance group.

    • HappyClinger

But they’d be on the right side of the trouble.

  • gypsy314

Folks this is what happens when you let liberal socialist democrats into office. Choose wisely and vote them out of office and country.

  • pointdan

This November, Connecticut voters need to correct the error made in past elections. Vote OUT all Democrats on the ballot and keep doing so until you are free of all communists and facists who disrespect the Constitution and OUR BILL of RIGHTS.
The Second Amendment belongs to We the People. It’s not Gov Molloy’s to take it away. Vote TEA Party !!!

  • john

…..yes!!! this is the kind of scum representivie, we have in ca. i will not comply either!!

  • FriendofThom

This is an example of nonsense begetting nonsense. Not accepting late applications is nonsense, but gun nuts spew the nonsense that they need assault weapons to defend themselves, when they really just WANT them so they can fantasize about being Rambo or Dirty Harry with an AR-15, and/or being part of an uprising against the government. A shotgun is the best weapon for home defense because it doesn’t require careful aiming, backed up by a handgun for those paranoid about a large gang of intruders that won’t retreat when several have been dropped by the shotgun.

    • Memphis Viking

We don’t expect libs to understand gun owners, or pretty much anything else to do with reality.

    • Ballistic45

Your Avatar is appropriate for your Utopian BS.. Let me get liberal thinking straight; We are told by Liberals NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics.” BUT… We are encouraged TO judge ALL Gun Owners by the actions of a few lunatics. We are told by Liberals that Citizens don’t need access to SEMI automatic ‘assault weapons’ and the Government should ban them.. BUT.. We hear about Obama’s Administration giving ‘Machine Guns’ to Syrian Rebels including Al-Qeada because ‘they need them’.. Kind-of goes along with another Liberal Hypocracy; We are told by Liberals that Capital Punishment is WRONG… BUT…. We are told Abortion is RIGHT, killing 3000+ babies a Day who are the most innocent of us all….

And finally, show me anywhere in the Constitution or any founding documents where “RIGHTS” require you to earn them, rent them, lease them, buy them from anyone including government !!!

All restrictions of rights are for misuse of them, – like falsely yelling fire in a crowd.. You don’t make anyone prove they have a certain level of linguistics in order to enjoy the right of free speech in hopes that somehow this will curb yelling fire in crowded rooms do you? Learn the friggin differences between RIGHTS and PRIVILEGES…..

    • Ballistic45

Your assessment of what it takes to defend your home is bogus Liberal crap.. “A shotgun is the best weapon for home defense because it doesn’t require careful aiming.” FALSE; a shotgun pattern expands at roughly 1″ every 3 feet from the muzzle.. So even in a BIG house say 40 ft away that pattern would only be about 14 inches across, hardly a multiple target killer… The 2nd Amendment has NOTHING to do with Hunting or Skeet shooting or the weapons for those purposes.. It has EVERYTHING to do with the preservation of Liberty from both criminals and tyrannical Government and the weapons used for that purpose… Got it, good…

  • Memphis Viking

They’re doing the right thing. Too bad they brought it on themselves by electing Democrats.

  • Ballistic45

2nd Amendment has “Shall not Be Infringed” within it, it is the ONLY Right to have that included… It is there for a REASON.. For the 2nd Amendment is the power of the people to insure that Government respect all the rest of our rights… All current laws attempting to make citizens EARN, QUALIFY FOR, RENT, LEASE OR BUY “ANY RIGHT” is an Infringement… Even more so of the 2nd, as it warns Government specifically not to do it…. Even Political attempts to add 2nd Amendment restrictions is the very reason for its existence…

  • bahndon

Liberalism is a brain defect !!!!

  • bahndon

Gun control freaks will never stop until all the law abiding gun owners are dis-armed !!!!

  • bahndon

A permit is infringement on the 2nd Amendment !!!!

  • John W.H.

Those little pantywaist commies up there in CT., need to be flushed out of the state government, any one dumb enough to vote any democRats back into office deserve any thing that happens to them. Stand up and fight, never give them a inch!! Power to we the people. If you kick over a rock and something slimy crawls out don’t vote for it. we the people have to take back this country one state at a time. If the lap dog liberal democRats are running your state get rid of them.

    • RufusChoate

The estimate that there are nearer to 500,000 people who just refused to register. One has to wonder about the commitment of the Republican Party to the Second Amendment and their Law abiding base when they haven’t even tried to unify this disaffected group or propose a serious threat to the Left.

It is been reported that Concealed Carry Permits in Newtown went up almost 400% this year and “Assault Rifle” purchases skyrocketed while the majority of gun owners repeat the mantra that “Register then Confiscation is the plan”.

  • johnnyu

the more that government mandates evil actions, the more likely civil disobedience becomes,”

  • JL Brown Jr

The commies need to go,they are doing more harm than good, they line their pockets with bribe money, they break the laws by turning us into criminal s. Its our right. If the same commies pushed a law clamping down on free speech, will they start to see the big picture? Everyone better open your eyes.

  • TiredVET1

RECALL RECALL get the signatures and yank them out of the government. That will solve a lot and with out blood shed.

  • sovereigntyofone

Why should ” We The People ” listen to a bunch of democommie idiots that can’t tell the difference between a AR-15 ” Sport Rifle ” and an M-16 fully automatic ” assault rifle “, or they can’t tell the difference between a ” clip ” and a ” Magazine “. And the ultimate ” stupidity ” is they want to disarm decent law abiding citizens that will make them automatic ” victims ” for the criminals that would keep their guns no matter what the laws say because they are just that ” criminals “.
    Just my 2 cents worth

  • Tinker1911

I have a relative in ky that votes a strait democratic ticket no mater what. his stupid excuse is that his father and mother voted democratic and he will always vote democratic. There are plenty of people like that that vote. That is how these people get in and stay in office.

  • Beachhawk

Good for the gun owners of Connecticut! Now, they need to stop voting for Democrat politicians and repeal this unconstitutional law. It’s funny: If two anti-gun protesters show up at the state capitol, the media goes nuts reporting it, but if a 100,000 gun owners refuse to surrender their rifles, there is not a peep out of the same media.

  • red55bird

In the eyes of Patriots we see these men who call themselves lawmakers who go against the Constitution and bring unto the people unconstitutional law as RED COATS. Yes we will be watching you Conn. when you try and take these guns from legal gun owners, gun confiscation of these men and women who our patriots of the Constitution could very well hear the first shot heard around the world.

  • terrythecork

stand strong citizens of connecticut or we will all become peasants

  • Stealth

What many are forgetting…is that our MORON idiot Governor and legislature here in SOCIALIST/LIBERAL disease-brained Connecticut…TOTALLY USURPED OUR OWN STATE CONSTITUTION, which states even MORE clearly than the United States Constitution, that we have the RIGHT to have firearms for SELF PROTECTION and the PROTECTION OF THE STATE!!!! Malloy, the legislature AND the jack booted thug cops can kiss our arses!

  • carl

good for him man enough to take a stand .god bless one real American.

  • keepyourpower

Those who allow a little bit of liberty to be taken away, for security..deserve neither.

  • Victor Lawson

The Second Amendment does NOT give any state the right to legislate anything regarding guns. To do so is TOTALLY unconstitutional. It also specifically states the “federal” government “shall not infringe” upon the right to own ANY firearm. PERIOD.

  • nvrat

Now we will see if the local law enforcement will abide by the Articles of the Constitution and Bill of Rights and State Constitution they swore to protect and defend. Will Peace Keepers prevail?

  • Neils Clausen

It use to be called “The Constitution State”. Now its renamed “The UnConstitution State”. So when you see UCONN in NCAA basketball championships this year, you have the ULTIMATE reason to boooooooooooo!!!!

  • digdeeper

Obviously neither CT legislators, ie We the People’s representatives, nor law enforcement officers understand their Oath of Office by which they swore to defend and uphold the Constitution. That in essence is an oath to defending and upholding our unalienable rights and liberties. That includes the right to have and bear arms, a right that “shall not be abridged”. Indeed, an unconstitutional law must not be enforced by anyone who has taken the Oath, understood it and meant it! Doing so is advocating for the overthrow of our Constitutional form of government, and thus of our Republic! SO HELP THEM GOD!

  • Keith Pallo

It seems somewhat sad and ironic that the next American civil war is going to start in New England. The state government is actually going to initiate confiscation attempts using SWAT teams and midnight no knock raids which WILL result in the government killing people!! That is the intent of these government “Masters”…put the individual in his place so he/she knows who is boss and it isn’t the citizen!!! Obama and Holder will encourage the Dems in Conn. to actually start the fight and will promise a sympathetic federal response suggestive of a call up of the national guard to put down the eventual uprising that will ultimately accompany the continuing confisacation efforts as the governor will then use the natuonal guard to perform the raids only this time they will be enmass and in broad day light!! Again the purpose will be to make examples of those who refuse to comply by killing them claiming that they had to kill the civialns because they were know criminals for not registering the weapons so that the officails were at risk of harm and of course the only living witnesses to provided the story of what went down will be the government knobs!! They will profess self defense because the perp was know to armed with an illegal weapon which was brandished when the raid commenced neccesitating the knobs to protect themselves by killing the perp!! Watchc and see!! They will kill a couple during raids to measure the ‘outrage of the general public and gauge the response so as to determine how much harder to push when they start confiscating again. If there is no blow back ofany kind they will accelerate the process and then try to use the national Guard in other states where people will rise up. This will necessitate either federalizing the National guard to suppress the revolts in individual states or actually use the Homeland security brownshirts as back-up or actual assaults. The U.S. Armed forces won’t be used because they will already be marginalized but then will be used after the bloody put down of any revolts as occupation forces under martial Law.

If people can’t see this set of events going forward you are either naive, ignorant, a combination of both or a collaborator!!

  • isis5551

Constitutional citizens of CT., We the People of the United States of America stand with you 100%. Gun control “is” Gun confiscation. The 2nd amendment over-rules any corrupt politicians made up laws. All states will eventually be where you stand today. I pray we all will have the same strength, fortitude, and honor that so many of you do. Many of us know, allow them to take your guns, you will have also given them your freedom and liberty. Many of us also, WILL NOT COMPLY!!! Our prayers are with all of you willing to stand as a well regulated Militia, to keep and bear your arms.
