Congressmen Steve Scalise and four others were shot by crazy leftist. Many people did not take this attack lightly. In fact, it stunned more people.
Except for Politico columnist, Roger Simon, who made light of the situation, stating in a column for The Chicago Sun Times, “Getting shot is no big deal in America.”
The column was devoted to attacking Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
But Simon somehow found a way to segue and continue, “About 309 people get shot every day in this country, and most get little attention from the media. Unless they happen to be a member of Congress. And wearing a bright red baseball uniform with the word ‘Republican’ in big, flowing white letters on the front.”
Yeah, you tell them Simon!
Tell them how the Republicans controlling Chicago don’t care about the numerous shootings that happen every day!
Oh, wait, that’s not right…
And no column would be complete without some Trump bashing!
“In that case, getting shot becomes a very big deal. Big enough to make the president of the United States drop his cellphone long enough to go on live TV and promise that ‘the entire world’ was praying for the congressman and others who had been shot Wednesday in Arlington, Virginia.”
If the congressman that had been shot would have been a Democrat during Obama, not only would Obama ask for prayers, Simon would have probably been the first one on his knees, begging for a swift recovery.
When has getting shot ever not been a big deal? Come on, guy, where is your common sense?
