Get ready to laugh. Did you ever think an animal rights activist would be the one to attack Hillary?
Secret Service agents tackled and arrested a protester who apparently tried to rush the stage during a Hillary Clinton rally in Des Moines, Iowa, on Wednesday, according to social media reports.
Multiple agents also ran onstage to ensure Clinton was protected. The incident came one day after GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump set off an uproar after making comments some felt were veiled threats toward Clinton.
Speaking at a Tuesday rally in North Carolina, Trump, the GOP presidential nominee, was discussing what would happen to the Supreme Court if his Democratic opponent were to win the White House in November, claiming she wants to “abolish the Second Amendment.”
“By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks,” he said.
“Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is. I don’t know. But — but I’ll tell you what. That will be a horrible day.”
Trump’s comments were widely condemned as reckless, and on Wednesday, multiple outlets reported that the Secret Service had “more than one conversation” with Trump aides about his rhetoric.
