    Hurray, MO! FL, follow suit!

    • Black Rain

Fl is becoming a liberal state. Texas needs to get its dept of Ed in line or its on the way to becoming a liberal state.
This is what I’ve been saying all along. The restriction of gun rights is not the federal government place. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights make it so the Feds can Not pass restrictive legislation. On the other hand, states that copy the US Bill of Rights. If so, the states have to amend their bill of rights to a restictive manner which is voted on by the states citizens.
You can NOT pass a law that is unconstitutional and call it law. California, Colorado, Connecticut , New York all states that go down this path are unconstitutional but, if their citizens are willing to allow it, by the way I have a bridge to sell.

      • Johnydngrs

Colorado citizens are not allowing it. We have been overrun by crapifornians that have ruined our state!!

        • MsPony65

So sorry about CO. It used to be really nice, before it got californicated.

        • mac12sam12

We are getting MASSholes and NY freaks. They are like a plague.

  • Berzrkr50

Way to go Missouri! Gun laws belong at the state level and it would be great if others followed suit (not that Commiefornia would EVER consider something like this).

  • worldwatchman

Way to go! Politicians who DO stand up to socialist democrats. I salute them.

    • MsPony65

Now if we can just get rid of that lying governor, Nixon. He was selling us out to the DHS, but got caught.

In typical leftist fashion, he’s been trying to cover it up. That’s not going very well for him, though.

      • URKiddinMee

Perhaps y’all can also set your sights on dumping your dingbat, leftist senator, Claire McCaskill?

        • Sparks

I sent her a pink slip last election cycle…

        • MsPony65

Gawd, we cannot abide that witch-with-a-b. Tried to vote her hiney out of there last election, but she jumped on the “Hate Akin” campaign, and she’s STILL beating that drum.

Writing letters to her is an exercise in futility. Frankly, that witch makes my skin crawl.

          • Tglory

Doesn’t she have that same grimace as that Diane Feinstein? They are both totally nuts!

        • Tglory

McCaskill won only because of a statement that Todd Akins made that was SO misconstrued and then run into the ground. I among many other women knew exactly what he meant, but even some of the republicans turned on him and help Claire butt-kisser get in again! She needs to leave with Nixon. He ran as an independent this time and centralized himself to win!

  • Grayzel

Since the War Between the States or as it should be called the War of Northern Aggression we have had a ‘National’ government. We were designed as a Republic with a weak Federal government. State Constitutions have almost been made irrelevant. I applaud the attempt by Missouri but take the law suit by the ‘National’ government against Arizona’s immigration laws as an example.

    • stillsane

I think your assessment of the civil war is absurd !!!!

      • emerutil

That war was a war of one sovereign country against another. The War of Northern Agression is far more descriptive. A civil war it definitely was not!

        • stillsane

As with any war someone has to launch the first strike. As with any government it may have been a preemptive strike. Did the Confederacy not anticipate that reaction? With emancipation came bounty hunters to the North,a violation of borders.

  • http://www.survivingurbancrisis.com/ Silas Longshot

A democrat governor? And you ‘really’ think this will get signed into law? I’ll owe you a doughnut if it gets signed.

    • Red55bird

I say you have a save bet with the doughnut…

    • http://www.facebook.com/fred.schneider.50 Fred Schneider

It looks like if he vetoes it there’s plenty of vote to override his veto.

    • Luckyme52

The way this Governor was elected to office he can be removed the same way.

    • Sharon Campbell

Republicans have a super majority, which means they can override a veto if they want, in both houses.

  • tugwell

It appears MO is swinging from the liberal stance to common sense. Congratulations.

    • MsPony65

We’re not a liberal state in MO. The problem is St Louis and KC.

Cut them loose, and we’re golden.

      • James Maxwell

Unfortunately like many states the people in the country are great
but all the loonies, welfare recipients, food stamp recipients and
others who depend totally upon the government for their perks and
money live in major cities. Those who work for a living, pay taxes
and support our nation work or live else where.

    • granny_forUSA

Liberal?????????????? Have you lost your marbles? Liberals are the next thing to muslims/illegals. Liberals do not have common sense, otherwise the idiot sitting in the oval office would not be there.

  • ThomPaineJr12

Do the gun nuts in Missouri think that passing this would exempt them from the federal restriction on machine guns?

    • Luckyme52

That’s just your opinion you must have voted for “O” an Biden

    • MsPony65

      Define “gun nuts,” please.

It seems to me that you may be one of those people who calls names without knowing what in the world you even mean. In this case, the way I read your post is, “Oooh, guns are bad! Anyone who disagrees with me is evil and insane!”

      • ThomPaineJr12

Gun nut: someone who opposes virtually all gun control laws. Most of them think that if there is gun registry, it will enable the government to sneak into 25+ million houses and gun stores one night and confiscate all guns- crazy, stupid paranoia.. nutty.

        • MsPony65

          Ah. I see.

You really are one of those “special” folk, aren’t you?

        • mac12sam12

We want tougher gun laws for criminals, not law-abiding citizens. Democrats are soft on criminals.

          • ThomPaineJr12

Republicans don’t want laws to make it harder for criminals to get guns, if they create just a minor inconvenience for law-abiding citizens.

          • MsPony65

You don’t get it, do you?

It’s not Rep v Dem, junior. It’s about the CONSTITUTION. As in, “we live in a Constitutional Republic.”

You went to public school, didn’t you?

          • gunman

No one needs to know IF I have guns, or WHAT guns that I have. If any get stolen, I have the serial numbers to give to the police. That is, IF I did have any guns. HA, because of my handle people some people would/have called me a gun nut too. BTW, don’t use liberal views to try to ruin the name of one of our great American patriots, Thomas Paine.

        • granny_forUSA

The Jr. is still spouting. Wonder if mommy knows the idiot of 12yrs old is spouting crapola on the computer.

          • mac12sam12

His name says it all Paine in the @ss.

        • emerutil

Sometimes, as in this case, a healthy paranoia is a good thing!

    • URKiddinMee

There is no real federal restriction on machine guns. One simply has to PAY extra for one for the Federal Tax Stamp, and fingerprinting by local law enforcement. Like most leftist, you are ill-informed.

You’d better hope they don’t place any restrictions on your Astroglide.

      • Marlin208

Come on, facts don’t matter to this idiot at all.

      • ThomPaineJr12

No restriction? HAHA You’re kidding me! You have to pay a $200 fee, and submit fingerprints and photograph for FBI background check. And the number of guns is RESTRICTED. It must have been made prior to May 1986. Like most right wingers, you are ill-informed, delusional, or posting lies.

        • MsPony65

No, YOU are ill-informed. You are certainly ignorant of the Constitution.

You can’t pass “laws” if they’re unconstitutional. We don’t have to “obey” your daddy O, kid.

          • ThomPaineJr12

You are ignorant and probably stupid. Congress/ state legislatures can pass “unconstitutional” laws. They may or may not be enforced prior to being found unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. Do you think the law restricting ownership of machine guns is unconstitutional?

        • granny_forUSA

You & BO have one thing in common …..you are both idiots.

          • ThomPaineJr12

Granny can’t make a fact and reason based rebuttal/ argument- just name calling. Must be afflicted with turdbrainitis.

        • URKiddinMee

I often forget that leftists are ALWAYS the smartest folks in the room. Thanks for the reminder.

    • granny_forUSA

Don’t mind this “pain” in the arse. As you see he is a junior and only 12. Parents/family must all be libtards. They put those views on their kids at an early age. Might even be illegal idiots.

    • CrustyOldGeezer

That particular law is in serious need of a sunset clause.

It was passed because of gang violence in… chicago…and other big cities with strong mafia related entities, who would have ever thunk it?

Now inner city gangs with guns are given a free pass to kill minorities all day long without interference.

  • Luckyme52

Florida better follow suit or politicians will be looking for new jobs.
    Hoorah for the big Mo.

  • Luckyme52

An Ace Politician is a guy who really looks out for the people not his vote.

  • http://www.facebook.com/StealthMarketer Andy Valadez

  • WhiteFalcon

There is no Constitutional authority to control guns and therefore anything that the Government does to do that is un Constitutional. The states have every right to pass laws that protect peoples rights, and that is just what the state of Missouri did. Way to go Missouri!

    • Patriot-Research

Yes there is a Constitutional Authority…It’s called the 2nd Amendment…The right to Keep and Bear Arms Shall not be Infringed….The Government, neither State or Federal has NO legal right to pass any LAW Restricting “We the People” right to own any Gun we want…including Machine Guns, even a Cannon if we want…!!!

      • WhiteFalcon

What you refer to is the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms, what I’m refering is the lack of Constitutional authority to control guns, meaning that there is no Constitutional authority for the Government to limit or prevent our owning and bearing arms or in any way infringing on our right as described in the Constitution. We agree on this point but are stating it differently.

      • emerutil

Explain to me the 1934 automatic weapons ban, and the 1968 gun control act.

  • MsPony65

In Missouri, we’d all be better off if someone could take a sawzall to St Louis and KC. Cut them off and set them afloat! Ill-annoy can have St Louis. Don’t think I’d want to dump KC on Kansas, though.

Maybe we could tie a bunch of balloons to Kansas City, and just let it float away…

    • WhiteFalcon

This is a problem in almost every state. New York would love to get rid of NYC, Illinois would love to get rid of Chicago, California would love to get rid of LA, and San Fransisco, and the list goes on. I think the problem is we simply need to get rid of commieonazicrats. Look at what they are doing to Colorado. That would be a great state if it weren’t for Denver.

      • CrustyOldGeezer

Best comment this week award goes to:…. (drum roll please)

That would be a great state if it weren’t for Denver.

I live here and it IS a great State… except for denver…..

        • Marlin208

Gotta get rid of those progressives and fairies though.

          • granny_forUSA

When are you leaving? But you meant…liberals & fairies…. Send us your address when you arrive in Iran. We will make sure to write……lol

          • Marlin208

Granny, I was making the point that Colorado will not be fixed till they get the liberals and the fairies out of there. They are ruining the state.
No, I am not a faggot or fairy and I will not be leaving for Iran.

        • WhiteFalcon

I love Colorado as well anthough I don’t live there. Wyoming is about the same except that the state government is a lot more sane.

  • Marlin208

Sure, the Reps passed this BUT it must go up to the Dem governor and there is the problem.
None of these Dems will go against their Nancy God BO. It wouldn’t matter if the state voted 100% for this bill, they still would not.
If they Reps weren’t so brain dead they would be doing things right now to fix the corrupt voting in this country for the next election.

    • MsPony65

It’s veto-proof, so no matter how Jay-baby tries to stop it, it’s happening.

We’re trying to run the lying sack out on a rail now. Seems he broke MO law by sharing our personal info with DHS.

      What a tool.

  • CrustyOldGeezer

The biggest boon to come from this would be the businesses in democratic neighborhoods that specialize in laundry services and mattress sales.

The first for the nightly bedwettings, and the latter that gets to sell new mattresses on a regular basis.

  • Tom T

Some people refuse to pay attention to history. The whole battle at Lexington and Concord that started the whole revolution was about one thing, gun confiscation. The British were marching to take the powder and ball from the state militia’s armory. The progressives have become emboldened to tread on the very thin ice of the last straw of a free people’s tolerance for their central government agenda.

  • Patriot-Research

Ohio needs to pass such a law and do it NOW…!!! Call you State Representative TODAY…!!!

    • stillsane

  • hal621

Let’s see now….Mo stands for Missouri…& MO also stands for MORONS…..& that stands for the MORONS that think you can nullify Federal laws. Sheesh!

    • stillsane

(Research) Black Codes, Jim Crow, Democrats, Oppression !
      (Patriot )?
Moron, Idiot, Words used by liberals to intimidate, and insult.

      • stillsane

        Can we try dialogue
I applaud MO. for trying to protect the rights of their citizens.
I believe we need to combat statism! Growing government may bankrupt this country!

    • granny_forUSA

As a retired lawyer……..You are totally unqualified to talk about Federal Laws.

  • pduffy

Unless the governor signs the bill into law, it didn’t “pass”.

  • Doc

Would this not also negate the gun control laws of 1933 and 1967?

  • marineh2ominer

I wish the government of my state of North Carolina had those kinds of guts and courage .

    • URKiddinMee

Unfortunately the leftists in Asheville and Charlotte often ourweigh the rest of the stte . . . like in the 2008 presidential election.

  • john4637

Settle down, the democratic socialist governor has not signed the bell yet!!

  • CARL

  • GG

Opposition always comes from those who want control.

  • granny_forUSA

I always knew that I liked Missouri. Missouri & Kansas think alike, that’s what good neighbors do. Maybe, eventually, the numbnuts in the WH will get the idea. The sooner the chief numbnuts leaves the WH…..the happier our USA will be. Lets hope the rest of the States will follow a good example……oh yeah I forgot some of those States have NN Democrats along w/ the turncoat Republicans.

  • Jeff Shouse

Good for them. It’s time states reclaim their sovereign rights. Long live the republic!

  • spitting the truth

Way to go Missouri, politicians there don’t have their heads in their arses like in DC. They will probably see a boom in residents, I know that I will be considering them in my next move.

    • MsPony65

Oh, we do have a couple of pols with their heads so far up their rear ends, they can’t get any O2. Gah, they’re arses.

Hopefully, we’ll give them the boot. Maybe send them to NYC….

  • pointdan

    Go BIG Mo !!!

  • Rey DeLeon

Thank you Missouri! Texas loves you. We see eye to eye and stand together against socialism!

  • John Detwiler

Gun Control Forebidden Constitutionaly. Check this out on Google or Gain. The DICK ACT of 1902, H.R.11654 Also called The Efficiency of Militia Act. THIS ACT CAN’T BE REPEALED. The administration is counting on the fact that the American Citizens don’t know this, but it is their rights by the constitution. DON’T PROVE THEM RIGHT. CHECIT OUT FOR YOURSELVES.

  • websmith

There is not such thing as assault weapon just like there were no WMDs in Iraq. Weapons can be used to commit an assault but, so can pencils.

  • emerutil

Finally we have officials stepping in the right direction. All state legislatures should follow!
