Looks like Gingrich has made Trump’s cut for the running mate. When do you think it will be made official? Did he make a good choice? Give us your thoughts below.
Donald Trump will return to the Cincinnati area Wednesday with a possible vice presidential pick: former U.S. House Speaker and presidential candidate Newt Gingrich.
Trump is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m. at the Sharonville Convention Center. Gingrich will join the presumptive GOP nominee, the campaign confirmed Tuesday, as Trump conducts a series of meetings and appearances with possible picks to join him on the ticket in November.
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones, an early Trump supporter, tweeted he would also speak at Trump’s rally Wednesday.
Trump is campaigning in Southwest Ohio for the first time since he campaigned unsuccessfully to defeat Gov. John Kasich in the Ohio primary in March. His presumptive Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, visited Cincinnati last week along with one of her possible vice presidential picks: U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts.
