On Tuesday, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke took President Obama to task for not addressing Sunday’s terror attack in Garland, Texas. In a tweet, Clarke said Obama was too busy targeting American police to make a statement.
“POTUS was too busy raking the American Police Officer over the coals again to Al Jazeera yesterday to address the terror incident in Texas,” he said on Twitter. On Monday, Al Jazeera said, Obama spent the day in New York blaming “a lack of opportunity in minority communities and harsher treatment of black and Hispanic men by police for fueling a sense of ‘unfairness and powerlessness.'”
Although White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest addressed the attack, Obama has not. On Tuesday, however, Obama found the time to issue a statement on the death of David Goldberg, the husband of Facebook executive Sheryl Sandberg.
“This POTUS will NEVER give respect where its due, to our LEOs and to our Soldiers,” one person said in response to Clarke’s tweet. Another person suggested the reason is that the attackers were killed by police. “If they had killed dozens and moved the Jihad bar he would be on his teleprompter,” the Twitter user said.
“Too busy ‘standing with the muslims’ to see Texas,” another person said. One critic said Obama “has to wait for orders from his puppetmaster.”
