Huh, would you look at that. If you were to listen to the MSM, you would think the entire world was against Trump and his policies. Turns out, that’s not true.
A poll conducted in September but published last week revealed that a majority of Americans supported President-elect Donald Trump’s tough stance on illegal immigration.
As reported by the pollster Ipsos, 62 percent of Americans supported “detaining or immediately deporting all people who enter the U.S. illegally,” while a higher 75 percent majority were in favor of “immediately deporting all undocumented immigrants who have been convicted of a criminal offense.”
This data flew right in the face of those liberal pundits who have tried to assert that the president-elect’s desire to deport criminal aliens was inspiring feelings of trepidation among American voters.
Furthermore, the poll was highly credible, as evidenced by Ipsos’ A- rating at Nate Silver’s FIveThirtyEight.
The evidence was impressive. A majority — not a plurality — of the American people were opposed to illegal immigration.
What’s more, a majority maintained similar sentiments about the country’s legal immigration system, in that 57 percent of Americans felt the system should be altered to limit the number of incoming foreigners.
