Another mass shooting, this time racially charged, and Obama pulls this stunt? Unbelievable. Check it out.
In an appearance on “Fox & Friends” Friday morning, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee lambasted President Barack Obama for using his speech to the nation about the Dallas attacks as a platform for gun control, even as the president stated that not all the facts were known.
At least five officers were killed in the sniper attacks Thursday during a Black Lives Matter protest march, out of 11 who were shot.
According to Politico, Obama called the attack “vicious, calculated and despicable,” but added that, “we also know that when people are armed with powerful weapons, unfortunately it makes it more deadly and more tragic, and in the days ahead we are going to have to consider those realities as well.”
“I think this is a time when real leaders bring people together, he doesn’t split them apart,” Huckabee said in his appearance on Fox News.
“He doesn’t need to inject the divisive arguments like gun control at a time of great grief for the nation,” Huckabee continued. “And he ought to do for us what Ronald Reagan did after the Challenger disaster. And that’s remind us of what we have in common, not what separates us. And that’s why I’m always so frustrated. Barack Obama has such great potential to be a leader.”
