The man who caused Sean Spicer to throw in his towel, Anthony Scaramucci, is a staunch gun control supporter. The position as White House Communications Director isn’t the first offered to him by the Trump Administration either.
It was actually his third.
He was lined up to become Director of the White House’s Office of Public Engagement. But critics within the White House stopped that real quick.
According to the Washington Post:
Before joining Trump’s campaign, Scaramucci said during a 2015 Fox Business appearance that Trump, as a candidate, was “another hack politician.”
“Probably going to make Elizabeth Warren his vice-presidential nominee,” he said, further dismissing Trump as someone who would become president of “the Queens County Bully Association.”
Being that it was an election year, the comments are forgivable. Everyone eventually gets behind the party they support.
But Scaramucci simply working for the White House has brought a major shake up:
Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, resigned on Friday after denouncing chaos in the West Wing and telling President Trump he vehemently disagreed with the appointment of the New York financier Anthony Scaramucci as communications director.
Mr. Spicer told Mr. Trump that he believed the appointment of Mr. Scaramucci was a major mistake and said he was resigning, according to a person with direct knowledge of the exchange.
Though it’s not clear what Spicer’s specific reasons are, there is one obvious reason that might be considered, which is his view on gun rights.
@NickKristof Clinging to guns and religion didn't stick, but this will due to media bias

We (the USA) has 5% of the world’s population but 50% of the world’s guns. Enough is enough. It is just common sense it apply more controls

It’s kind of a tell-tale also when you see who is celebrating Scaramucci’s entrance into the White House:

Hopefully this gun-grabber doesn’t have much say as to what happens on the gun-rights front. The NRA and advocacy groups, for 2A rights, need to keep him and the Trump admin. in check.
