ACTOR & HILLARY SUPPORTER: Arrested After Attacking Bernie Voter

Wendell Pierce is a die-hard Hillary supporter and he is apparently ready to spill blood for her too.

“The Wire” actor Wendell Pierce was arrested on Saturday night after allegedly attacking a woman for supporting Bernie Sanders.

Pierce, best known for playing detective Bunk Moreland on the HBO series “The Wire,” was not feeling the Bern as he grabbed a woman’s hair and smacked her head for backing Sanders, sources told TMZ.

Pierce had been at the Loews Hotel talking with the woman and her boyfriend at about 3:30 a.m. on Saturday when the politically-charged attack unfolded, according to reports.

Representatives from the hotel did not respond to calls for comment.

Atlanta police arrested Pierce on Saturday, charging him with battery for the alleged attack.

He was released from Fulton County jail the same day on a $1,000 bond, records showed.

An Atlanta police spokesman told the Daily News the department doesn’t have access to police reports on weekends, and would have details available Monday.
