There have been new reported bomb threats to the London Underground in the city center.
The stations that were under direct threat were Moorgate and Liverpool Street, both currently on lockdown. Authorities arrived with bomb sniffing dogs and blocked off the roads in the surrounding area.
This incident is just less than a week after the underground bucket explosion in west London, Parsons Green tube, which left 22 people injured from the blast and the subsequent stamped.
Police reported they are investigating a suspicious package in the area.
One spokesman for City Of London Police said: ‘We are currently in attendance at Wilson Street (EC2) following a report of a suspicious package in the area.
‘This was first reported to us at 9.52am on Wednesday and we are currently investigating.
‘Cordons have been put in place at the junctions of Moorgate and South Place, Eldon Street and Blomfield Street, and Wilson Street and South Street.
‘We would advise members of the public to avoid the area.’
