Donna Brazile, former interim chief of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), just came out Thursday confirming what many had suspected of Hillary Clinton and the 2016 primary elections.
Brazile claims to have “proof” that Clinton stole the party nomination from Bernie Sanders.
The revelation was unveiled in her new memoir, published by Politico, where Brazil details how Clinton took control of the DNC behind the scenes just months before the nomination process was complete; paying with her campaign money to ‘keep the party under control’, outlines an excerpt.
“I wanted to believe Hillary, who made campaign finance reform part of her platform, but I had made this pledge to Bernie and did not want to disappoint him,” she wrote.
“The agreement […] specified that in exchange for raising money and investing in the DNC, Hillary would control the party’s finances, strategy, and all the money raised. Her campaign had the right of refusal of who would be the party communications director, and it would make final decisions on all the other staff,” she added.
Brazil ‘also detailed her private phone conversation with Sen. Sanders in early September, telling him she found “proof” Hillary stole the nomination,’ reports Hannity.
“Bernie took this stoically,” said Brazile. “He did not yell or express outrage. Instead he asked me what I thought Hillary’s chances were.”
