Amber Alert: 11-Year-Old VA Boy in ‘Extreme Danger’

Screenshot 2014-03-21 at 9.10.11 AMRUSSELL COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – An AMBER Alert issued Thursday evening was cancelled when 11-year-old Lucas Guinn was “safely recovered” during a Southwest Virginia traffic stop Friday morning.

“Jimmy Guinn, 67, was taken into custody without incident,” the Russell County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “The Sheriff extends his sincere appreciation to the public for their vigilance during the AMBER Alert activation and the many tips and leads called in to assist with the search.”

Thursday’s AMBER Alert indicated Lucas Guinn could be in “extreme danger” and that he was last seen at Lebanon Middle School in Russell County.
