San Francisco city council leaders lashed out at Fox News when asked to answer questions about its sanctuary city policy in the wake of Kate Steinle’s death.

Authorities say that Steinle was gunned down by Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, an illegal immigrant with a long rap sheet who had been deported five times.

San Francisco Board of Supervisors member Katy Tang accused Fox News of being rude when she was asked to comment.

“We tried this through your office and we got no response,” a Fox employee explained.

“Because you’re interviewing the wrong f***ing person!” she fired back.

When asked to take a minute to comment, San Francisco Board of Supervisors member Scott Weiner said, “Fox News is not real news, and you’re not a reporter. I talk to real news only.”

San Francisco Board of Supervisors member Jane Kim brushed off the media’s focus on sanctuary cities in the wake of Steinle’s death.
