Carrie Underwood Performs Tribute to Vegas Shooting Victims That Left Her in Tears [WATCH]

Carrie Underwood gave a highly anticipated performance last night at the Country Music Awards ceremony, though no one knew what it was going to be about.

She hadn’t released any new music in a while so many people were wondering.

Clothed in an almost angelic white gown, Carrie performed the very familiar and beloved hymn, “Softly and Tenderly.” Her voice filled the Bridgestone Arena while images of artists, musicians and musical figures passed away this year.

She was performing a tribute to the deceased.

Then at the very end of the performance ‘Underwood found herself struggling to sing as images of the Route 91 shooting victims appeared on the screen. We’re sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the room at that moment…’ reports ClassicCountryMusic.

You’re warned. This will yank the tears right out of you. Absolutely amazing performance.
