These are the headlines one likes to read. Good guy living and surviving a life threatening altercation, while the bad guy suffers the consequences.
The incident happened in San Antonio, Texas, around 9pm on a Wednesday. A father took his family to a Popeye’s restaurant, where some numb-nut decided to rob the store and threaten his family’s lives.
Carlos Molina, 32, was eating with his family when Andres Herrera, 19, stormed into the restaurant and pointed a gun at Molina and “demanded his property.”
Trying to reason with Herrera, Molina told him he spent all his money on the dinner for his family and pleaded to let his family leave unharmed. In the midst of this heated exchange some of Molina’s family members came out of the restroom, which caused Herrera to point his gun at them. Molina used that distraction to pull his own gun out, shooting Herrera with 3 fatal shots.
Molina saved is family from any possible harm due to his preparedness and having a concealed carry license. Police on the scene said the shooting was an act of self-defense carried out for a third person.
“On January 12, 2017, the New York Times editorial board opined,’The grim truth is that concealed-carry permit holders are rarely involved in stopping crime.’ Mr. Molina’s actions at the Popeye’s restaurant in San Antonio are only the latest refutation of the New York Times‘ claim,’ reports AWR Hawkins for Breitbart.
