If you haven’t already heard, there were special elections held in Georgia and South Carolina. Republicans won in both states.
The race in Georgia has gained nationwide attention because of the cost and support that was thrown behind Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff. He had the money, the celebrity endorsements, but he still couldn’t win.
And it shook the Dems to their very core. Could it be that they were to blame for the loss?
Of course not! That would be silly.
Instead, Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy blamed the distracting Russians for the loss.
Murphy said during a Wednesday appearance on “Morning Joe” that he thinks there are more important issues to be campaigning on then just Russian interference, saying Democrats should lean their focus towards economics.
“The fact that we have spent so much time talking about Russia, you know, has been a distraction from what should be the clear contrast between Democrats and the Trump agenda, which is on economics,” Murphy said.
Murphy also believes that Ossoff should have made President Trump and his agenda the center focus of the race.
“Whether it what was the right decision or the wrong decision, Ossoff decided to not make Trump the center focus of that race.”
This is all coming from a guy who said Republicans are using the recent congressional baseball shooting as a “cover” to try and push their healthcare bill.
Yeah, he’s a reliable guy that you can just blindly believe…
