GUN OWNERS REFUSE: Connecticut Attempts to Confiscate “Assault Weapons”–Gun owners are fond of the saying “you can have my weapon when you take it from my cold, dead hands.” In a country with a Second Amendment granted us by God, it is easy to view that as a serious, but needless warning. The saying—universally mocked by so called progressives—has taken on a new meaning; Connecticut Patriots have now received government gun confiscation letters.

The Connecticut legislature passed a government gun confiscation law that demanded citizens register what politicians like to call “assault weapons“, a vague term that is often based solely upon the appearance of a weapon, by January 1, 2014, or instantly become felons.

Approximately 85% of gun owners have refused to comply. That could be as many as 100,00 to 350,000 people who have suddenly been turned into criminals for the crime of purchasing a tool protected by the Second Amendment.

That also seems to indicate that 100,000 to 350,000 people fully intend to refuse to have their ability to defend themselves taken away.
