As you know, WikiLeaks has been coming out with damning emails from the Clinton camp all week. There is one in particular that has caught people’s attention. And it involves Supreme Court Justice Anthony Scalia’s death.
When he died, people were a little suspicious for awhile but it was eventually written off and was said he died of natural causes. Or did he?
In this batch of emails, one refers to his death and the “bad night” that will likely proceed. But what caught people’s interest was when one of the emailers uses the term “wet works” when discussing his actual death.
Wet work is a euphemism for murder, or assassination, alluding to spilling blood. This term, along with “wet job”, “wet affair”, or “wet operation”, are all calques of the euphemism used by the KGB.
That is interesting to say the least.
