Brave little girl.

The St. Charles County Police Department named a new chief Friday. Five-year old Sydney, who is battling a rare form of kidney cancer, will soon begin a four month isolation period prior to surgery. Before all that, she enjoyed a very special day, being St. Charles County police chief for the day.

The day involved a special ceremony in her honor, a tour of the police station, and a magical visit from Cinderella. She even got to solve a crime at the Cave Springs’ McDonalds, stopping the Hamburglar from stealing Happy Meals.
