Professor Jubilant Over Barbara Bush’s Death: “I’m Happy the Witch is Dead” — Continues With Very Obscene Comments

Former first lady Barbara Bush recently passed away at 92-years-old. Millions of people nation wide expressed their grief and condolences for America’s loss, however there is one feminist professor who expressed jubilation over her death.

Randa Jarrar, Fresno State University professor, published on Twitter that Mrs. Bush was a “racist” who with the help of her husband “raised a war criminal.” Ending the rant she typed, “F**k outta here with your nice words.”

The professor received immediate heat for her statement, but that didn’t stop her and only encouraged more of the hate. Jarrar said she was “happy” that “George W Bush is probably really sad right now.”

“I’m happy the witch is dead,” Jarrar tweeted another time.

“I work as a tenured professor,” Jarrar said. “I make 100K a year doing that.”

Her harsh comments did not go without scolding. The president of Fresno State, Joseph Castro, published a statement addressing Jarrar’s tweets:

On behalf of Fresno State, I extend my deepest condolences to the Bush family on the loss of our former First Lady, Barbara Bush.

We share the deep concerns by others over the personal comments made today by Professor Randa Jarrar, a professor in the English Department at Fresno State. Her statements were made as a private citizen, not as a representative of Fresno State.

Professor Jarrar’s expressed personal views and commentary are obviously contrary to the core values of our University, which include respect and empathy for individuals with divergent points of view, and a sincere commitment to mutual understanding and progress.

The professor’s account is now private and she stated she is at the moment “on leave” from the university.
