Soundgarden Rockstar Chris Cornell’s Cause of DEATH Revealed

Lead singer of Soundgarden Chris Cornell’s body was discovered at the MGM Grand Hotel in Detroit. He was unresponsive when police found him and pronounced dead at the scene.

The 52 year old left behind his wife and three kids.

Cornell’s rep told E! News, “His wife Vicky and family were shocked to learn of his sudden and unexpected passing…” The rep added that his family “would like to thank his fans for their continuous love and loyalty and ask that their privacy be respected at this time.”

The autopsy conducted later on the morning of his death was performed by the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Their official statement was Cornell’s “cause of death has been determined as hanging by suicide. A full autopsy report has not yet been completed.”

The medical examiner’s office added, “There is no additional information at this time.”
