Teen Vogue Tries to Con Young Females into Hating Guns–Are You Buying Their Bullsh*t?

Gun control advocate Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action, is desperately trying to convince our youth that America is less safe because of guns. She wrote an op-ed for Teen Vogue on how to combat the gun lobby. Check out this little snippet.

…America has something else no other developed nation has: a gun lobby that pushes for extreme “guns everywhere” policies while lobbying against common-sense gun laws. The National Rifle Association — which used to be an organization of sportsmen and hunters — boasts some of the most powerful lobbyists in America, working to pad the pockets of gun manufacturers by fighting even modest efforts to close loopholes in our gun laws.

She is wrong. She is so, so wrong. And here are the reasons why.

FACT: The NRA is 5 million members strong and made up of average citizens, hunters, and everyone in between.

FACT: The NRA works to make sure our Second Amendment right is protected for future generations.

Claiming that the NRA only works for gun manufacturers is ludicrous. Gun manufacturers would go out of business if there weren’t a market for firearms.

FACT: The NRA fought for the National Instant Background Check System (NICS) and frequently talks about the holes in the system.

FACT: Women are the fastest growing population of gun owners.

Gee, maybe, just maybe this has to do with the fact that women are tired of being the victim of sexual assaults, robberies, and other violent crimes. A firearm is a great equalizer for women, especially when they’re being attacked by a man two to three times their size.
