Lifelong Democrat and top legal mind, Alan Dershowitz said in an interview that as far as he is concerned Donald Trump Jr. has committed no crime with meeting Russian Lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya.
During the interview with Newsmax, Dershowitz was asked if he believed Trump Jr. did anything illegal or inappropriate.
His response, “I don’t see any crime at this point. I think if there was any coordination, even if the worst case scenario as far as we know now is the Russians get in touch with Trump Jr. and say we have some dirt on Hillary Clinton…and he goes and gets the information.”
Dershowitz continues stating, “the New York Times did the same thing for the Pentagon Papers. That’s what the Washington Post did and many other newspapers did with information from Snowden and Manning.”
“You’re allowed legally to use material that was obtained illegally as long as you had nothing to do with the illegal nature of obtaining the information,” Dershowitz said.
Sounds like this lawyer needs to be defending Trump Jr. if this ever goes to court.
President Trump’s eldest son has been completely transparent since the scandal broke, releasing the entire email chain on Twitter and even placed himself in the hot seat with Sean Hannity on Fox News, evading no question.
