A WOMAN who allegedly attacked a Sky News reporter outside a Sydney court has been charged with assault.

Journalist Amy Greenbank was left bleeding from a cut above her eye after a 31-year-old woman allegedly pushed the reporter’s camera into her face outside Bankstown Local Court on Friday.

The woman was reportedly in court to support her estranged husband, Tarik Assaad, who was arrested during raids by the Middle Eastern Organised Crime in southwest Sydney on Thursday night.

Outside the court, she allegedly shoved Ms Greenbank’s camera into her face and pushed the reporter into a tree.

Yesterday, police said the 31-year-old handed herself in to Bankstown police and she was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

She was granted bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court on December 14.
