Why We Carry: Man Punches Girl 39 Times in Empty Parking Lot After ‘Laying in Wait’ [WATCH]

‘I mean, he threw me around like a rag doll, so I kind of just let it happen,’ said McCarthy.

This is what 18yr-old Erin McCarthy said about her attack.

She was targeted by a man in the parking lot of where she worked, Planet Fitness.

The assault took place in Rochester, New Hampshire. Erin was closing the store and walking to her car when the man, wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, came from behind her and started punching.

She could however see the attacker before the assault.

In the video it shows he made a u-turn for her.

The time Erin left the gym was 10pm.

Not sure if she was aware, but he was wearing sunglasses.

That should have been tip number one something strange was going on.

She claims he punched her 39 times and then threw her to the ground.

The security footage stops after the first punch though.

‘He just kind of came up and hit me in the back of the head and wouldn’t stop,’ said McCarthy. ‘He didn’t say a word and he didn’t have a reason behind it. I asked ‘Why? Who are you?”

Erin suspects the attack was from a disgruntled customer of the gym, but could not identify him from the tape.

Looking through the video it appears the attacker lay in wait for McCarthy for almost eight hours while she worked a shift at the Planet Fitness gym.

What happened to Erin is by all means not her fault.

But please learn from this attack!

  1. Always be aware of your surroundings.
  2. If some creepy dude wearing sunglasses at 10pm at night is in your vicinity, be suspicious and prepared.
  3. If you work late shifts, have some sort of weapon with you.
  4. Learn how to fight. Erin felt powerless and that is never a feeling you want to have when being attacked.

She was lucky the attacker didn’t do permanent damage and left the assault at a few punches.

He could have easily done worse.
