Wisconsin: Bill to Allow Interstate Long Gun Purchases and Sales Passes Senate Committee

women with gunsToday, the Wisconsin Senate Transportation, Public Safety, and Veterans and Military Affairs Committee unanimously passed Assembly Bill 368.

AB 368, sponsored by state Representative John Spiros (R-86), would align Wisconsin with forty other states that already allow their residents to purchase rifles and shotguns in non-contiguous states, provided that the purchase or transfer complies with state and federal law.

Currently, Wisconsin residents can only purchase long guns in bordering states.

AB 368 would repeal this arbitrary restriction and allow Wisconsin residents the freedom to purchase long guns in states beyond their immediate borders.
